AUK - Light at the end of the tunnel!! Thank you
Just spoke with the AUK nurses, they suggested that my leg cramps on a night could be down to the LABA in Seretide. And my 'loss of power' and 'lack of air in lungs' after about 15mins of running, could be another asthma symptom. So along with the fact the Fostair has made my symptoms so much worse,

Breathing advice on NHS
Probably a bizarre question, I just wondered if there is any 'breathing advice' available on the NHS? I suffer with Exercise Induced Asthma still despite being on Seretide and Singulair which are supposed to be Gold Standard meds for EIA. My normal every day symptoms have greatly improved now but exercise

Potassium supplements
Am sick and tired of persistant night-time leg cramps, and leg muscle fatigue when running. I've mentioned it to the doc and he's swapped me from Seretide to Fostair - this has had no effect. He didn't want to check my blood levels coz he said they were ok at the start of the year (interestingly the

Just not right?
Had asthma quite badly recently. It is now generally under control using Seretide, but have come down with a virus and chest just doesn't feel right. I have stopped sleeping and peak flow is down, but actual cough isn't too bad. Problem is that no one knows what causes my asthma and if I can't catch

Symbicort and G&T
I always read manufacturers leaflets enclosed with inhalers, etc. and if they say no alcohol, then the my once weekly G&T's (2 of) are swapped for diet cokes. Symbicort leaflet had no warning about taking alcohol so it was a surprise when, after my Friday night out and usual two G&Ts, I felt dizzy

Cost of asthma treatment in the UK
Hi, I'm French and I will move in three weeks time to Glasgow to live with my boyfriend and look for a job. I have mild asthma, meaning I never had severe acute crises but I cough a lot and can have serious difficulties in breathing even when not exercising. This is much better thanks to my treatment

Anyone use Seretide 500 two puffs, twice a day?
Hi Could you let me know if anyone uses Seretide 500 two puffs twice a day. I normally take one puff twice a day but my consultant increased it today as my CT scan showed infection areas on my lungs. I have also been put on a long term prescription of Azithromycin. Has anyone else had this CT diagnosis

Anyone taken Singulair. Seretide and Uniphyllin?
Hi I have been taking Singulair for about a month now and feel that I have improved. There again, I have been up and down before so I can't be absolutely sure it will continue and in fact, it is due to Singulair. (As soon as I say I am feeling really well, I take a down turn - it's as though someone

Post Hospital Discharge
Hi all, My asthma has been shockingly uncontrollable for about 4/5 months now, culminating in being admitted to hospital for 2 weeks after catching the flu. I've always had asthma, with the occasional blip here and there, but by and large it has always been well controlled and has always responded well

change of meds, not sure if it's working
Hi all HAPPY HOLIDAYS Glad to see so many people getting through christmas OK. Just a quickie, my son was changed from Seretide 1000mg /day to Symbicort 1600mg - 2400mg/day on 12th of December. His control was not very good on Seratide hence the change. A couple of days before starting Symbicort

Costochondritis?
My asthma started being odd last week. And by Friday I had a sore throat, an annoying cough and my chest felt like it was on fire. I went to the doctor today and he felt around my chest area where the pain is and it was really sore to touch. He said it was costochondritis and I didn't really understand
