2 year old with pneumonia and potentially asthma?
It is just that colds etc go into her chest and give her a chest infection, which then seem to trigger an asthmatic response that requires
salbutamol
to calm down. Has anyone else had a similar experience with their child?

New Diagnosis?
Hi, I suffer from severe hay fever, and am currently on a blue ventolin/
salbutamol
inhaler due to suspected seasonal asthma (spent 2 weeks on prednisolone before being put on the inhaler) and have been for the past 2 months which has made a massive difference to me!

Inhalers
Anyone else having problems getting
Salbutamol
and Flixotide prescriptions. Never had any problems in 27 years at this surgery, new doctors now and I can only request within 7 days of items running out - how can you tell how much is left in
salbutamol
?

Struggling - any advice?
My current meds are: -
Salbutamol
- Fostair 200/6 (4 puffs per day) - Montelukast 10mg (one tablet per day) - Fexofenadine 180mg (one tablet per day) Today a GP prescribed an additional inhaler - Clenil Modulite 50 - to take alongside my Fostair. My question is, is this correct?

2yr old with monthly hospital admissions and steroids
He is on montelukast, cetirizine,
salbutamol
(as required) and has tried all preventive inhalers (including those unlicensed for children) but now the Consultant is suggesting we just wait for him to grow out of it and just treat the monthly episodes.

Do I even have asthma
My
Salbutamol
inhaler seems to be less effective with each episode and after each, I am left unbelievably fatigued to the point where I can't lift my arms or legs and fall into a deep sleep.

Refused Salbutamol
Last year my GP practice kept refusing my repeat prescriptions for
salbutamol
and to cut a long story short I ended up having a heated discussion with the practice manager. Since then I've been limited to one prescription a month (I get 2
salbutamol
per prescription).

Buying salbutamol abroad
Hi - has anyone been to Prague and had to buy inhalers? I have been able to buy in Spain but not Portugal. Just wondering if anyone knows if sabutamol can be bought in Prague without a prescription? Thanks in advance

Another quick question:
Anyone know how many puffs of
salbutamol
you take when using the inhaler with a spacer?

Incessant cough. Am I using too much?
In 48 and had to be shown how to use an inhaler I use
salbutamol
in my puffer several times at night to stop the wheezing and coughing but it only lasts about 1 to 2 hours and although it opens the airways I still cough. Is this normal I don't use it through the day but i cough incessantly.

Inhalers one or two?
I recall reading an article stating that GP's were giving out far too many single inhalers, and that research showed that if you had the blue inhaler (Ventolin/
salbutamol
etc) you would do better if you had the preventative brown inhaler also.

Hyperthyroidism and Breathing Problems
I was using
Salbutamol
. For the weakness, one doctor had thought my blood sugar was the problem but others disagreed. They said it was not possible to have such symptoms unless I had been diabetic for a long time.

Asthma advice
I got
salbutamol
but it doesn't work so I'm making an appointment to get some new meds. The thing is, it doesn't seem to look like I've got asthma. I got a constant pressure on my chest. I also wheeze. Now it doesn't get worse if I get near smoke. Can somebody clear this up?

In Answer to Your Hoarse Throat Question
I noticed that Symbicort made my voice hoarse. My doctor gave me a plastic extender for the inhaler and when I use that it helps this problem. I don't know if other inhaled medications cause this and I am trying to find out if it is safe to use my albuterol nebulizer while I have laryngitis?
