Desperate mama
My almost 5 year old son started with coughing symptoms at night around the age of 2, he sleeps soundly until about 12AM-2AM and then wakes up with forceful persistent coughs, mostly when a cold is circulating in the house. He was on so much prednisone and eventually we started a preventative inhaler

Adrenaline during asthma attacks
I had an adrenaline injection and the rest nebulised (along with hydrocortisone, magnesium, atrovent nebs, and
salbutamol
nebs) yesterday evening during a bad attack (silent parts of my chest again etc.). Not staying in any longer than needed being discharged today. Just a bit frustrated.

Could pet dander make asthma worse?
Hi Everyone! I am 67 yr. old woman with a long history of postnasal drip (lifelong) and acid reflux (10 yrs.). I was diagnosed with asthma in Aug. 2020 which I didn't feel too bothered by and even wondered if it was a correct diagnosis. In Apr. 2021, I was exposed to a lot of smoke which set off bronchitis

Constantly clearing throat.
I don't think it is making any difference, but have found that taking a puff of
Salbutamol
helps. I know you are not supposed to take that more than three times a week. I already take a antihistamine. I'm 84 and also suffer with Thyroid problems and GERD.

Preventer inhaler having no effect
Hi, I've been taking the preventer Soprobec (beclometasone) for almost two weeks now and it's making zero difference to the amount of times I use the blue
Salbutamol
reliever, which I take around eight times per day.

Short of breath since pandemic
I have done a peakflow meter (which shows that it goes up an down but not by much) and tried a blue
salbutamol
inhaler (which I feel no relief from). I can walk, talk, eat, sleep no problem.

Two Questions. Interferon and JAK %
The consultants can only suggest taking
Salbutamol
, if that doesn't help, then they may stop interferon for a while,, which is a worry on two counts, my HCT is under control, having reduced from 17 hydroxy a week to 3. No recent venesection.

Need help urgently
I was prescribed brethyzy-L and a
salbutamol
inhaler which have helped a bit but now the chest tightness is back and I can barely do anything around! With asthma I didn't have this much chest pain so I'm wondering whether the pneumonia didn't clear completely or it's just asthma?

CEV Criteria
I'm still symptomatic (tight chest & cough) and needing my
Salbutamol
inhaler daily. I'm working with my GP-run asthma clinic to try get it under control again and find the right medication to get me there.

My asthma has never done this. I

Short Synacthen Test for AI
I am also on Spiriva Respimat 2 puffs morning, as well as ipratropium (Atrovent) and
salbutamol
via nebuliser 3-4 times daily (as well as other asthma meds). I have been told that these are ok to continue.

/reliever. The person I spoke to, a pharmacist, was new to me (it was a phone call) but she then checks everything off with my favourite local asthma nurse, someone I know who really knows her stuff. I have always had good experiences with her.
