Preventer inhaler having no effect

Hi, I've been taking the preventer Soprobec (beclometasone) for almost two weeks now and it's making zero difference to the amount of times I use the blue Salbutamol reliever, which I take around eight times per day. I've been on the blue for around 30 years and was encouraged to move to the preventer.

Does anyone know why it isn't making a difference? I'm sure technique is fine, dosage is fine (GP prescribed 200mg per day, I've been taking 400mg)

It takes about 8 weeks for a steroid inhaler to kick in properly so 2 weeks is very soon to be seeing an improvement.
