FAO The Weight Loss Gang a Quick Query
Without reading all 287 posts, I take it it's quite difficult to shed weight with the drugs you're taking? Can anyone enlighten me which are the worst? As I have been trying for a little while now but it's not shifting, I'm on accuhaler Seretide 250 and salbutamol. Either that or I'm not trying hard

Chest pain, newly diagnosed
I've been experiencing some very odd sensations over the last two weeks. I was diagnosed incorectly with panic attacks after going to my doctor complaining of palpitation, shaking and feeling very faint. I was prescribed Propranolol which didn't help at all. Last night I started to experience chest tightness

Stronger reliever?
Just a quickie, is there such thing as a stronger reliever/more effective reliever than the standard 100mg salbutamol? Is it possible that you can become immune to its effects during a severe attack? Ta, Emz x

For many years now asthma has controlled my life instead of me controlling it. My life was undersiege from wheezing, inhalers and steriods. My asthma was uncontrolable I attended a problem asthma clinic which became my second home. I was constanly in and out of hospital and struggling to keep up with

Seretide - Does the shakiness get better?
The info sheet with Seretide (I'm on 125, 2 puffs twice daily) says that shaky feelings will ""get less as treatment continues."" Does this really happen? And how long are we talking about? I've been taking it for almost two weeks. I had some cramping in the first few days, but that seems to have stopped

What comes next for little ones?
I am feeling very anxious right now. My 4 year old daughter had a bronchial lavage and a bronchoscopy this past week. This is her second one. According to our consultant's at Addenbrookes and Prof Bush from the RBH, she is on the maximum doses of all of her medications and she is nowhere near under control

Bricanyl
Hi I have a question from a memeber of my congregation. He has recently been precribed Bricanyl inhaler and has been taken off Salbutamol. But then was told only to use it four times a day. He is confused as he used to use Salbutomal before exercise and now he is not sure what to do with this Bricanyl

Constant productive cough and voice problems
I'm new to this site and am looking for some information from people more used, if that'sthe right word, to asthma. I'm 64 and had asthma as a child, which resolved in my teens. I've always been a bit 'allergic' - nettle rash etc and I have perennial rhinitis. I think I picked up a viral infection in

A couple of questions relating to asthma medication (seretide and salbutamol)
Hey I'm sorry I know this is all probablly common knowledge but am just looking to pick brains for a bit of information before I see asthma nurse on Tuesday. I was at asthma nurse on Thursday due to peak flow being at 60% of my usual peak flow, I know it's not really low but I had been taking salbutamol
