Asthma, Work and Doctors
I have got a doctors appointment on Monday 24th at 5.10pm. Now the colder weather is set in, I am finding it is making my asthma worse. I do put a scarf on to cover my mouth so I am breathing in the warm air. But I am having to take more of my reliever to manage my asthma which is really annoying

work and asthma
My asthma is really playing up at work at the moment I am getting really short of breath and I am suffering with a tight chest quite a lot of the time. I work with a lot of students with challenging behaviour and they are young people with special needs. I have a student who likes to run out of classroom

Blood Test and Doctors Appointments
I have painful arms and I am buising a lot more than I have ever done before. So I went to see the doctor on the 22nd July and he recommended that I had a blood test, so on the 29th July I had a full blood test to check my bloods were all ok. My bloods came back as normal. I have been having to use

Another rant about doctors and advice needed please
OK so as many of you may know I have been having issues with my asthma since January. Back before the new year my peak flow was ranging a normal of 430-450 every day and then I came down with a horrid chest infection that came right out the blue with no warnings and since then I have been seeing my doctor

My boyfriend just got diagnosed, could we get some advice?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has some advice for someone who is new to asthma. My boyfriend (33) got diagnosed with asthma two months ago and is using albuterol and seretide 200 to control it. He was doing OK to begin with but got worse and worse during the night time and had a severe attack last week

200mcg Salbutamol
I have gone back to taking my meds for a while now, have had a review with the asthma nurse, and a flu jab - except, that when I have a severe attack (this happens regularly), my reliever hardly touches me. However, the other day I had a particularly bad one, my reliever wasn't helping, but a friend

Side effects?
Recently I've been experiencing weird symptoms such as palpitations, trembling hands, fluttery and hard heart beat, and dizziness. Can these things come about from taking alot of salbutamol? My asthma has recently worsened and have been taking my reliever more, are these normal side effects? They don't

Hi. I've been looking at this forum for the last couple of months, but have just now registered to post this. Sorry for the long post! I'm 21, and was diagnosed as a child (5/6-ish). My asthma peaked when I was about 11 or 12, but had been fairly well controlled with salbutamol and fluticasone until

Salbutamol?
Why do different companies which make relievers taste different? I've had salamol and ventolin salbutamol which taste completely different, it's the same drug isn't it? (salamol was much nicer :P)

Ashtma night cough - not really anyother symptoms!
Hi, I was diagnosed with asthma in 2002 following several bouts of Bronchitis. My worse symptom has been the night cough. When I was pregnant (end 2004/begining 2005) my asthma improved no end and I went down to 1 puff of my preventor morning and night. Since having my daughter, its got worse and worse
