chest tight/pain but no external signs of symptoms?
hi all, it's been a while since i've been on here! my lad (just 5 years) keeps telling me that he has tummy ache. i kept trying to brush it off as tummy ache but have a sneaking feeling that it might actually be his asthma flaring up as i try to do all the usuals - keep off food, rub him tummy, dristraction

Hiya, My little boy of 5 years old is on 200mcg (daily dose) of seretide and 5ml of cetirizine in the evening, yet we have had to use his salbutamol in the last 4-6 weeks as he is starting to get some asthma symptoms. We had a particularly rough night with lots of coughing and so I called his respiratory

What comes next?
I am feeling very anxious right now. My 4 year old daughter had a bronchial lavage and a bronchoscopy this past week. This is her second one. According to our consultant's at Addenbrookes and Prof Bush from the RBH, she is on the maximum doses of all of her medications and she is nowhere near under control

Trouble getting diagnosed?
Hi all! This is my first post. I am 18 and 3 months ago I started having trouble breathing like even walking to the bus stop etc would make me short of breath. I went to the doctor who at first thought it was just a cold and said to give it 4 weeks and if it wasn't any better to go back, it didn't

Sub cut pump
I'm wondering if anyone could tell me their experience of having a sub cut pump ~ has it helped? has it caused any skin problems? do you have the (equivalent of) salbutamol shakes all the time? my cons is really against these and says they're 'witchcraft', but witchcraft is about the only thing we

Just a quickie, Is it usual to vomit after IV Salbutamol, my son was fine on 1mg but within an hour of increasing it to 2mg he was violently sick for about 2 hours. In the end they stopped the Salbutamol and gave him fluids instead. I was aware amino could make you sick but didn't know Salbutamol

Is this normal???
Hi, Thanks for taking the time to read this post. I'm a newly diagnosed asthmatic with hypersensitivity. The main triggers seem to be dust from building works and cold air from the ferrocious air con at work. I'm usually on 400mcg twice a day of budesonide, 120mg fexofenadine, 30mg lansoprazole and

What to do in an Emergency
I have just come back from holiday in Costa Rica, in the first few days there I picked up a cold which along with the heat and 100% humidity, triggered my asthma. For the first time ever, after a day of only being able to shallow breath and fighting the urge to cough, I started to feel extremely
