Hi, Alfie used to be seen at our local hospital in hastings. When we were there the problem was that they couldn't give intravenous salbutamol because it sends his heart so fast and they had no paed person who was comfortable venting a small child. They used to have to get an intensive care retreval

A doggy problem?
Hi I'm grandma to Logan aged 20 months. Logan was given some salbutamol liquid for a wheeze last autumn. It was prescribed initially by a paed, whom he had been referred to for a heart murmur. The murmur was nothing serious - the paed says he may just get it when unwell. He has only had to use it

My 13 month old has a salbutamol inhaler for occassional asthma - I'm really hoping that she doesn't follow me and her dad and get full on asthma but thats another story! Anyway, I went back to work part time when she was 11 months and she was going to a nursery for 1 day a week. When she was given

Had hospital review....recommendations?
Molly had her hospital review yesterday and it resulted in her meds being upped to Becotide 100, three puffs twice a day - Serevent 25 2 puffs twice a day, continuing with the Montelukast tabs and salbutamol as required. Although the doctor was helpful I don't think he really took on board how bad things

GP just not helping!
My 3 year old son has had a rather bad cough for a couple of weeks now, particularly troublesome in the early part of his sleep and upon waking. After a week I took him to the GP as I was worried because he was 'maxed out' on his inhalers ie the recommended 10 puffs salbutamol and 2 puffs atrovent,

Newbie!
Hi all, Just found this site and have found the information on here really useful. My 3 year old daughter has been suffering with wheezing episodes mainly when she gets a cough/cold. She was under 1 the first time it happened and has had many stays in hospital since. We've been in 3 times since July

3rd visit to a&e in 3 months
My son is 3 yrs old and was in a&e on Monday with wheezyness and rapid breathing. He was admitted overnight 4 weeks ago. Doctors reluctant to diagnose asthma although asthma and allergies common in my family. Monday was scary as he fell asleep during nebuliser and was very tired after a sleepless night

My Daughter Needs an Exercise Tolerance Test
I was wondering whether anyone could help me with what the exercise tolerance test involves as Sarah's Asthma is bad on excercise and gets really down hearted that she cannot keep up with friends at playtime. We have also just had various allergy tests done and are waiting for the results to come

New here
Hi, just thought I would write a quick message to introduce me and my son. Nathan is 4yrs old and has chronic lung disease due to prematurity, which has been treated as asthma so far and has worked. Since Whit week, he has had a cough which has gradually got worse even though I have increased his salbutamol

Confused and worried
Hi everyone. I am new to this site but am so glad I found it - I don't know anyone else who has an asthmatic in the family. My wonderful 9 year old son has coughed for as long as I can remember and gets more coughs and colds than anyone I know. When he was 4, a bad cold took a rapid turn for the worse
