Help keeping house cool in hot weather
I have had a terrible time with the heat we've been having recently, my breathing has deteriorated and I have been exhausted with the heat, Inside my home I have been living with 30C degrees day time and night time temps lucky if it drops to 25C. I've been doing the usual keeping blackout curtains

How can you tell the difference between the 2? I think it may be both but I'm not sure how to tell. my peak flow is constantly around 320-330 (before salbutamol), my best is usually 490/500. my inhalers seem to bring it up to 360-370. my only symptoms are chest pain/tightness which eases with

What Next?? More Pred?
Hello Like many people on here, my asthma has flared up lately with the very warm weather and the pollen count being so high. I was put on Pred 40mg for 5 days by the nurse at my GP surgery, and I'm just coming to the end of another 5 day course as I am still having symptoms. I've also started using

Symbicort SMART-good for relief?
Hi, anyone else on Symbicort smart regime? I had an attack yesterday and found that I did not feel relief from symbicort and found myself grabbing for my salbutamol which after quite a few puffs relieved me. In the past the pharmacist has stated that the salbutamol is quicker acting that the symbicort

Breathless and really worried............ is this what to expect at moderate stage or should I have inhalors upped
I was diagnosed with COPD 10 days ago after having spirometry test by Nurse at GP surgery. Reading was FEV1 73. I was given inhalors Salbutamol 100mcg 2 puffs 4 times a day and Beclometasone 100mcg 2 pufs twice a day. I will go back and discuss as I was so in shock that I could not think of questions

where to go next?
Hi. I'm 20 and I've been diagnosed with asthma for the last 16 years, I've had various degrees of control over it throughout the years, ranging from needing salbutamol as needed, to multiple inhalers, tablets, steroids and hospital admissions. I'm diagnosed with mild asthma - the only numbers I have

Ventolin/salbutamol reliever nearly expired
My previous ""blue"" inhaler has just run out and when I went to the medicine cabinet, the other one I had turns out to be about to expire. The ""new"" (i.e. unused) inhaler is the same kind (blue Ventolin Evohaler of 100 micrograms salbutamol sulphate) was prescribed in December 2011 and is stamped
