Adverse Reaction to Salbutamol
My 13 year old had an asthma attack in August, she had had 12 puffs of her blue inhaler before I took her to A&E. They gave her a further 30 puffs there and sent us home on a reducing regime which meant taking 10 puffs every 4 hours for the next two days. By mid-afternoon the following day she was tight-chested

I have COPD Emphysema. I take Spiriva, Symbicort, Mucinex & I nebulize with albuterol inhalation solution on a daily basis just to get out of bed & move around. As the disease progresses I get tired. Not just tired but down right sleepy. I could, if I were a mind to, lay down & sleep for LORD knows how

Hello and confusion
Hiya, I've been lurking for a year or so, so first of all hello, and thanks for all the useful advice thats on here. I had asthma as a child which I thought I'd grown out of but it came back quite persistently 2 years ago - after a period of being pretty unwell, I've been really well controlled since

My trigger was always laughing ( not a bad thing) but my asthma was controlled and did not impact on my quality

Possibly extra things to try...?
Hello lovely coughing people! So... after over a year of brilliant control (mostly), the hurricane and pollen and haymaking have thrown that out the window. Sudden onset but constant coughing / tightness since 6am Sunday. I am lucky to have rescue antibiotics, steroids and nebs at home, so I started

Viral-induced asthma diagnosis
I suffered with asthma from the age of 11 up until about 18. Am currently 35 and have a had a nasty viral infection for the last few weeks. It has resulted in a an inflamed airway and a persistent night time cough. I visited the docs today and she says that the virus has aggravated my asthma symptoms

COPD?? Pulmonary Fibrosis?? Wegener's?? What the 'ell??? Can anyone help?
Just been to see consultant for the second time (diagnosed 3 months ago with possible COPD). 60% FEV1/FVC but really struggling, particularly with chest discomfort and mild breathlessness - nothing seems to help - put on Spiriva, Fostair and Seretide 125 and Salbutamol. Now told to come off all of these

Pregnancy (not yet but planning)
My partner and I are having serious conversations about trying to have a baby in the next few months. We are getting married in September and want to start trying as soon as we're married. I just wondered what experiences people have of managing asthma in pregnancy and how you feel about taking meds.

Chest tightness and shortness of breath with normal MRI
Sorry, this is a long post, but I'd be really grateful if anyone on here could help. I started having chest tightness and shortness of breath about four months ago, which started off as being intermittent and gradually got to the stage where it was constant. Around the same time, there was about a 1
