Relvar ellipta, Montelukast should I be shielding?
Hi, I know there have been a lot of similar questions but with the ever changing advice I’m feeling utterly confused. I take Relvar Ellipta 184/22, montelukast and salbutamol as needed. From what I can figure I think that means I should shield? Interpreting the guidelines when you don’t know the medication

Benralizumab injections
Hi all, Hope everyone is keeping well in the current climate. It’s 5.40am I’ve been up since 4am - good old predsomnia and being mid flare! Anyone here having Benralizumab injections for eosinophilic asthma and have still had flare ups? I had my first injection 3 weeks ago and was under the impression

Help, travelling and got Easyhaler wet
We are in Argentina and I got my only Beclometasone Easyhaler wet. The powder still looks dry in the little window, but when I press down and tap on the mouthpiece I can’t see any powder. Does this mean it is no longer working? We are going up to altitude in a few days so I really need it to work - I

Unsure if in the vulnerable group
I take uniphyline, carbosytine, montelukast, spiriva, relvar and salbutamol reliever. Have had the flu jab and back in November started a new career. As a social and domestic worker so cannot really do social distancing. My main worry about all this is that I am still in probation and would possibly lose

Mild asthma - shall I take my steroid inhaler?
I have always had mild asthma, usually made worse when pollen is high or around cats, dust etc. I don’t normally take a steroid inhaler although I do have a low dose (brown) one. I can’t remember the last time I needed to take my salbutamol reliever (Blue) one, probably two weeks ago. So, I am now wondering

Reliever spray without lactose - help please
I am looking for a recommendation for a lactose-free reliever spray. My Bricanyl spray makes me feel terrible. Do they exist? My doctor says not. I am really tight and don’t know what to do. Sorry for the rambling explanation I am not feeling great. Thank you. (Long version why: I used to have poorly

Asthma and taste buds
Hi, my 80 year old dad has just been diagnosed with asthma following a bad respiratory attack which led to him being in hospital for over a week. He was on oxygen and a salbutamol drip and was eating well in hospital after the first couple of days. However, since he has come out and on a daily inhaler

Prednisolone side effects
Hey everyone! Wondering if anyone else has had the same problems as me with shorter courses (10 days) of prednisolone. Finished this course 5 days ago after an asthma flare up (Have seretide and salbutamol regularly). From 2 days in I have had worse side effects than ever before; Sore mouth and sensitivity

Asthma U.K. advice on seeking urgent care
This advice, just posted by Asthma U.K. really worries me! It says call 111 and tell them how often you use Ventolin and that it is not helping sufficiently. For me this doesn’t work. I am terrible at remembering to use Ventolin. Not totally hopeless, but terrible. I have to tell myself, remember to

Salamol
Hi everyone I normally use Salbutamol (as well as Seretide 250) but I found a Salamol easy-breathe inhaler in a drawer last week I got last year. Used it for a few days instead of my usual Ventolin but stopped as I developed a wheezy chest which is unusual for me and also had trouble sleeping last night
