VenR in Relapsed CLL: 4-Year Results and Evaluation of Impact of Genomic Complexity and Gene Mutations from MURANO 3 study
This is an important evaluation and insight into how your CLL profile affects your response to VR in relapsed and refractory CLL. Sadly it looks like bad genetics is still relatively bad news in terms of PFS even on VenR. "[i]In previous analyses of the MURANO study, fixed-duration venetoclax plus rituximab

Updating treatment plan
I just received a letter from insurance company approving a chemotherapy medication called Halaven. Has anyone heard of it? Treatment is 21 days two weeks on one week off. I guess this is what my new oncologist is going to try. Will let you know how I do. I am having a port put in Wednesday and first

Tumor markers swinging wildly.
I started Halaven in September. my tumor markers went from 1498 to 190. Then, last month, they were 400. Had cat scan of my chest, pelvis, and abdomen. Everything was stable. My onc said that maybe I had an "inner inflammation." Has anyone had this happen?

How low does my wbc have to be for me not to get my Halaven injection?
After my first injection of Halaven, wbc was 4. After second, it was 2.9. My oncologist says that my wbc needs to get back up. I can't take Neulasta since it could trigger my leukemia to come back. How high does it have to be?

PET-CT With 18F-Fluciclovine and 68Ga-PSMA-11 in Patients With Early Biochemical Recurrence After Prostatectomy
TAKE-HOME MESSAGE •This prospective, single-center trial evaluated 18F-fluciclovine PET/CT and 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT for patients with early biochemical recurrence after prostatectomy. Detection rates were higher with PSMA PET/CT (56% vs 26%). •The study authors concluded that, based on higher

Is a delayed recurrence post RP more indicative of metastatic cancer than a curable local recurrence?
Then salvage therapy for BCR in the late period, 5 -10 years, would be less successful (or even futile) than salvage therapy when BCR occurs in early period, 1 - 5 years. Has anyone seen statistics on this?

Anyone keeping Biochemical Recurrence under control without ADT?
While ADT appears to be the gold standard for initial BCR there appear to be a plethora of other methods that address it as well ( Salvage Therapy, Non Hormonal Tx's ( eg Provenge, Metformin) Natural Substances ( eg...Pomegranate ,curcumin, Sulforphane) I imagine some here might be attempting to address

Other risk calc question
On this one http://riskcalc.org/ProstateCancerAfterRadicalProstatectomyNew/ It doesn't show the amount of time between primary and salvage therapy factoring into risk. Is that not needed due to knowing the PSA, Gleason, etc?

selecting best radiation oncologist- how important is this?
we all know that it’s important to select the best surgeon when contemplating surgery, but does this apply to ROs as well? for salvage therapy? if both centers are using same technique & using same amount of radiation etc. how important is the skill of the RO? i’m sorry if this is an ignorant question

MRI
I had an endorectal MRI for rising PSA (bounced around between 0.10 and 0.16) at MD Anderson in January. Their report said there was no indication of recurrence and described, "Cluster of tiny signal voids in the prostatectormy bed, likely represent postsurgical changes. Scattered subcentimeter in short

Radiosensitizers
Does anyone know if protocols at certain institutions include use of radiosensitizing agents in salvage therapy, or are these just at the research stage?

Devastated: halaven fourth line of treatment
My latest PET scan shows excess progression to the lung, trachea, oesophagus, multiple vertebrae, pelvis, and now to the liver. I’m devastated because Ibrance failed and now I’m doing the 4th line of treatment in 2nand a half years. I’ve just started Halaven and I’m exhausted of the mental and physical

AXUMIN PET/CT STUDIES IN BCR PATIENTS . BY Nick Mulcahy,Medscape.
Axumin PET/CT studies in BCR patients helped to select patients who would not benefit from RT and to make changes to the RT plans according to the extension of the cancer in the pelvis. ------------------------------------ SAN FRANCISCO — When men with prostate cancer experience biochemical recurrence

Salagen/Pilocarpine
Hi Everyone I am not sure if there has been a post on here recently regarding
Salagen
. I did one last year when I was having trouble locating it . Well today I learnt from my Rhumy nurse that Pilocarpine/
Salagen
is no longer being made and once the stock has been depleted there will be no more.
