Study connects diabetes, air pollution to interstitial lung disease
Ozone – a gas often referred to as “smog” – is known to intensify certain lung diseases, such as asthma and
rhinitis
, which are primarily upper airway diseases.

Can you have candida even if the mouth swab test is negative?
The reason for doing the test is a persistent white tongue, no other symptoms other than a
rhinitis
started 2 years ago or so. To avoid an expensive GI-map test I thought to do a mouth swab with a lab to see if anything would come back positive. The results came back all negative.

Multiple system atrophy and hydrogen
https://drsircus.com/general/hydrogen-hits-a-home-run-for-multiple-system-atrophy/ Recently, a member of our Parkinson group passed away from MSA. He got progressively worse in the very short time and we just heard that he passed away recently. Our meetings kind of stopped, we had couple on Zoom. As

Seven different 'disease forms' identified in mild COVID-19.
They identified seven groups of symptoms: 1) "flu-like symptoms" (with fever, chills, fatigue and cough), 2) ("common cold-like symptoms" (with
rhinitis
, sneezing, dry throat and nasal congestion), 3) "joint and muscle pain", 4) "eye and mucosal inflammation", 5) "lung problems" (with pneumonia and shortness

Non allergic rhinitis
I have asthma and non allergic
rhinitis
- both well controlled mainly but this last week I have been wheezy and I feel like its the nasal drip causing the issue.

Blocked from return to work w/ controlled asthma?
My context is that I acquired this asthma in my mid-20s and seemed linked to allergic
rhinitis
and I developed a random intolerance to ibuprofen which triggers the asthma. It's completely controlled now and I don't notice a thing - I feel like perhaps it is inflammatory.

Histamine Intolerance and Liver Disease
I have now developed allergic reactions to a number of foods which results in allergic
rhinitis
when I eat. Has this developed in anyone else. I’ve read that Mass Cell Activation can be a predictor of liver disease severity.

Interesting news for salt irrigation of throat and nose
As someone who benefits from nasal salt sprays and nasal irrigation with a Neti pot and salt for common cold and sinus symptoms, I was very interested to read this: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/health/coronavirus-salt-water-gargle-symptoms-university-edinburgh-study-a9583136.html It might help

I'm So Happy, I'm So Happy! whooppee! (re. consultant)
She is also sending me a new pill which hopefully will open up my airways, also another spray for my terrible
rhinitis
, she said "they are not going to like this as its very expensive, but its the ONLY one that works". Hopefully I will get the scans done sometime in September.

Rhinitis and RA
I have had
rhinitis
my whole life. My nose is constantly blocked, not with mucus but more swollen. I don’t suffer from hay fever but I do start sneezing when the weather changes. Anyway, I have recently read about a link between
rhinitis
and RA.

Asthma flare up since January
I have

so use daily sinus rinse, nose spray and omeprazole for reflux. Is there anything else I can do??? I am under a consultant and waiting for a new referral to Whythenshaw where they have a better Respirtory team.

Difficulty clearing lungs
I also suffer with
rhinitis
which causes phlegm problems too. I have had respiratory physio care and advice but even that hasn't helped much - especially all the huffing and coughing because I have a hernia which I don't want to make worse.

After about a year of having a sold blocked Nose i was diagnosed with Chronic Rhinitis.
I have been on Nasal sprays since then and they do seem to help but i get this post Nasal drip and an awful wet cough . It`s worse at night and it hinders my sleep a lot. If i get a cough triggered then sometimes it won`t stop and takes all my effort to stay calm. Does anyone else get this ? and have

Post Covid Asthma won't settle
Week 6 GP added montelukast as I suffer with
rhinitis
; this had little impact on my asthma and breathlessness but has improved my
rhinitis
. I was advised that it will take time to recover and that I need to rest, pace myself and that she suspected I probably have lung damage and scaring.
