I read that too Finvola and it certainly sounds like something worth trying should the need arise.

I am using a neti-pot at the moment and convinced continued use will help me longer term as I pick up so many viruses. Even more reason now to continue to use.
Making sure you breath through your nose and not your mouth is also helpful.

I use a simple plastic syringe (er no needle) every time I feel that first tingling fiz in the nose that heralds an infection. One teaspoon of salt in half a cup of warm water. Squirt it up one nostril then blow it out, repeat with the other nostril.
Works a treat.
Problem with covid19 though is that it doesn’t usually start with a fizzy nose.
That's interesting, the Italians have always used Acqua di Sirmione (Sirmione thermal water)for stuffy nose problems, colds etc. especially for young children.
