too much aldosterone and afib?
I began my journey with Atrial fibrillation in 2010. Low potassium and high blood pressure was considered to be the instigator. I found out a year ago that I have a tumor on an adrenal gland that is producing too much aldosterone. Too much aldosterone causes low potassium and high blood pressure. I currently

Is it known for Electromagnetic Field Radiation (EMF) to increase TSH whilst still having normal T4 and T3 levels?
Hi, I know a lot of people say that electromagnetic fields are generally not a risk, but what if someone is exposed to it constantly throughout the day without any fresh air, surrounded by computers and other equipment quite close to your body? Can this increase and play havoc with your TSH number

Hi everyone ā¤ļø So I've just spoke to gp reception about me calling in to get my T3 prescription, but we're told it had been stopped, this was Friday last week, I explained I had around 4 /5days left. Bank Holiday fun (not!)
Evening all, hope those of you in the UK have had a good bank holiday weekend. Mine could have been betterā¦ I ended up in A&E on Saturday night with a racing heart (at times around 150bpm) after none of the tricks Iād read about would bring it down below 100. And when they tested my blood pressure

bizarre turnaround
hello! I posted here about a month ago complaining of lots of issues; dry skin, falling out hair etc, irritable, over emotional. My TSH was 0.8 and lower range T3, ok range T4. Since then Iāve lost 5lbs (diet and exercises) started taking vitamin b complex, vitamin d and a general health vitamin

Long term -confused - Thyroid & pain in neck?
Hi, I'll try and be brief. It's been over 3yrs since I thought I had a thyroid problem. I was fobbed off with antidepressants and it took me years to get off them. I am still having problems and I know it is not just anxiety! I suffer with DPDR - dissociation. I feel spaced out often and disconnected

First Private Blood Test
This is my first post to this excellent website, and I hope someone can help me understand my first private blood test - fasting, last levothyroxine 26 hours previously. No B12 supplement for three weeks prior to the test. I did find it difficult to get sufficient blood, this being my second attempt

Some advice please
Hi, I'm in surgical menopause and have not felt 'well' for a number of years now. I won't bore you with the backstory of my trials and tribulations with HRT, all in the pursuit of feeling well enough to fully function. I've questioned Thyroid for some time, I had tests last September and posted them

Any tips on getting through an increase in levothyroxine and feeling a bit rubbish
Hi everyone, after a too quick reduction in levothyroxine and an return of symptoms Iāve had an increase. Iām 3 weeks in to an increase to 100mcg daily and then in 4 weeks Iām to very slowly increase liothyronine from 10mcg to 20mcg (Iāll do this v gradually). Iām feeling really rubbish, exhausted

Unsure about thyroid results/next steps
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me understand my thyroid results. TSH 3.5 (0.35 -5.5) FT4 14.7 (11.9 -21.6) FT3 5.14 (3.1 -6.8) Anti-TPO 253 (<34) Anti-Tg 120 (<115) The Anti-TPO seems high, what should be my next steps? Thanks š
