Anyone on Seretide 125
Since being diagnosed last april with mild COPD and Bronchiectasis I have tried Symbicort (terrible side effects) and then Clenil (no Problem) I saw a new consultant last week who said I should be on Seretide and told me to start it imediately which I have. No side effects yet as using spacer and gargling

Has anybody else been given Vertine instead of Serevent?
Some time ago, my pharmacy replaced Salamol with a cheap substitute "Salbutamol" by Sandoz which was utterly and totally useless. When I phoned the surgery they said 'Oh yes - we've had a lot of patients tell us about this' and I got my old inhaler back. I'm just hoping this isn't another cost cutting

Rhinitis :0(
Has anyone else's child's rhinitis gotten really bad? My poor boy can't breathe. Thing through his nose, he can't stop sneezing and the Nti histamines aren't making a difference. Am thinking of asking the doc to prescribe a nasal spray or try montelucast again but I'm reluctant as he had side effects

Left hand down a bit.
Grinning like mad along most of the route of my run this morning. Following along from the 'naked' running post I was listening to The Navy Lark for an hour (putting shoes on and warm up walk as well as run, did a long run Saturday so only went out for a 'short' one today). Worth listening to, I'd forgotten

Rhinitis and Hypothyroidism
While I was trying to find some information about rhinitis and hypothyroisim (having suffered lot myself ever since my TT) I came across this extract from a Turkish study: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20626323 The following conclusion was drawn: Besides other examinations

Today was the first time I've experienced the 'runner's high'
From what I've read, the 'runner's high' is quite uncommon and most likely experienced during, or after, an endurance event, but can also occur when pushing yourself almost to the point of collapse in a short, intense effort, such as running a 5km run. That's what I did today. I did a quick tempo

Vision problems? I am HYPO-thyroid
They think I have
Retinitis
Pigmentosa, but very a-typical. All my night vision is gone. I totalled my car last year when it got to be dusk; I rear-ended a lady. (we were both OK) Does anyone have any info at all about RP? No one has even suggested that it might be due to being Hypo-thyroid.

Asthma or Copd or both?
I was diagnosed with occasional asthma, several years ago, only came on now and again; Then two years ago diagnosed with COPD, and was very recently an emergency to resuss, gone axphsic (blue) with severe breathing problems. How to tell the difference between the two please? or can you have both?

Ventolin vs Salamol
I have just been prescribed Salamol inhalers rather than my usual Ventolin. I'm still getting used to the switch and at the moment I miss my old Ventolins but some observations: -The canister of the inhaler is smaller. At first I thought somebody was palming me off with half-sized medication. -The

Can something this easy actually aid us????
I found this whilst I was looking at another website that I use: ScienceDaily (Jan. 13, 2010) — For those who do not drink, researchers have found that six essential oils -from thyme, clove, rose, eucalyptus, fennel and bergamot -- can suppress the inflammatory COX-2 enzyme, in a manner similar to resveratrol

Where do we go from here?
My son is almost 4 years old and we have been trying to get his asthma under control for over a year now. We have tried the salamol and beclatide inhalers, oral steriods and just recently singulair, but nothing seems to help. He still has a persistent cough, is wheezy and tired all the time. Does anyone

New to Salamol
Hello, I've just started taking Salamol for the back end of a chest infection that seems to have reactivated my asthma after it has been dormant for several years. I think I'm getting side effects - faintness - especially when standing still for a few moments, numb hands and feet, sore head. But this
