I was scheduled to have DBS surgery on the 22nd, but it has been postponed because I have an accelerated heart rate, which I believe is
a side effect of taking Azilect. I started reading more about Azilect and found that many doctors recommend you stop usage for 14 days before any procedure using any anesthetic as the reactions can be deadly and you should never be given Demerol for pain. I am scheduled to see a cardiologist on Monday

Trying to stop Mirtazapine, but burning throat scares me!
I'm on 15mg of Mirtazapine/
Remeron
a day, which I usually take in the evening, but if I want to deduce the cause of my apparent reflux issues, I need to get them out of my system before a 24 hour pH test takes place in February.

Has anyone experienced motor changes attributed to antidepressants?
I also take
remeron
30 mg/day. I don't know if it is related or just the degradation process... needless to say it doesn't lead to less anxiety/depression.

Hello everybody,
I was diagnosed with ET in 2003, platelet count 650, JAK2 not then discovered. After 18 years only on aspirin and platelets stable at 650, the count started to go up and on reaching 1350 I was put on Roferon-a. The count, after 9 months of treatment was 250-300. I am still, a year later, on the Roferon-a

Insomnia and Depression Getting You Down?
The doctor observed my dramatics and wrote a prescription for
Remeron
[Mirtazapine]. I've been taking a half a pill a night for the past month and sleep like a baby. My dreams are epic in quality and I very seldom get The Shakes. Thus far the only problem I have had is with weight gain.

Have you had migraine headaches?
In my early 20's I started getting migraine headaches in the brain stem area. I'd have to go to emergency hospital and get shots of demerol. They would last for a couple of days. Heat seemed to help also. They suddenly stopped about 10 years before I was Dx. I was wondering if there is a connection
