Last procedure finally done
I’m so excited, my PCI op got cancelled last week but i had it yesterday, the consultant is very happy that the emergency surgery in December was successful and the graft is now working fine, he did put another stent in to make sure i won’t have any problems in the future and said he shouldn’t need

Proximal LAD Stenosis
Hi all, Had a CT Angiogram last week and just spoke to the GP about it yesterday. Apparently I have 50 percent soft plaque stenosis in the proximal LAD. Need to go for an angiogram to do more tests and they may fit a stent depending on the amount blood flow through it. Doc was pretty upbeat, said it

I had my latest angiogram on Friday 5 mar, the result of which was that no additional stents were fitted and that no physical improvement actions were implemented. Although I was aware of the possibility that no improvements would be possible during this process I really was not mentally prepared for

New to the ticker team.
Hi everyone. I think I have read just about every post and response now. Some inspirational stuff on here that has been reassuring to a recent recipient of LAD stent following anterior stemi and additional bystander disease. HA on 07.02.2021 out of the blue, boy did it hurt and I am not soft. Arterial

Racing heart beat wakened me up
I had my HA 4 months ago, had a LAD stent fitted and thought I was good to go. Horrendous side effects have finally settled but I've recently experienced heart beat of 111 that has wakened me from sleep and remained for two hours (this was the night of my covid vaccine) and also during my now regular

Stent
I had two stents last year and I have spasms. The medication I’m on has worked well until this week I am getting some chest pain. Nothing major but enough to be noticeable. Tonight I took some spray for the first time. Should I be worried?

Vibrating heart
Hi , Last year I had a few days when my heart was vibrating as if I had a small kitten purring inside it. I had an ecg at my gps surgery which showed nothing strange and my cardio didn’t seem bothered(phone call) . Today it’s happening again. I did have a stressful situation to deal with first thing

Heart attack last August, no Stent
I had a STEMI last August. 999 super fast response, and I was taken to cath lab within 1 hour of the 999 call. They did angioplasty, but were unable to insert stent(s) because of ectatic Right coronary artery. I'm told this means that instead of being smooth, the artery has narrow bits and wide bits.

Post heart attack medication
Had heart attack nearly five weeks ago had one stent fitted. I am now on medication for blood press and cholesterol, how long does it take to reduce my high blood pressure and what side effect if any should I be aware of? Many thanks

Coronary spasm and percutaneous coronary intervention for refractory cases.
Has anyone had stents if there condition is not well controlled? Ive read this in a few articles, also read that stents can be a focal point for spasms hence not used.

Learning to cope
Hi everyone. Some really good and sound advice on here. I had a heart attack and stent fitted just before last Christmas and seem to be recovering well physically. Mentally I am struggling with anxiety, which I was already prone to, and wish my cardiac rehabilitation could have been more face to face

Unplanned hospital visit - MVD - next steps?
I ended up in hospital on Thursday on my birthday! Had a black out at home along with usual chest pain. Had another angiogram to check my new stent put in last November was ok. All good & arteries not clogged. Through a process of elimination they told me they thought i had MVD and Vasospastic Angina

Failed angiogram
Hi all, only my second post on here. I’ve just got home from a failed angiogram. Back in 2019, I had a NSTEMI resulting in a stent fitted on the LAD. After roughly 6 months, I started suffering angina pain on exertion. I reported this to my cardiologist who subsequently referred me for an angiogram.
