My hear rate is always 60 or below. I was told its fine and its due to bisprolol.

Hi, at rest mine is low 50s, usually hovering about 60-70 unless I'm exercising.Never this low before my stents fitted.

Hi this is very normal with beta blockers which take strain of your heart. bisprolol are used for this very reason so your heart isn't stressed out to much.

Morning all

Im taking bisoprolol for my heart failure, ef 24%, my pulse rate sometimes go down as low 38 to 45 but normally it’s floating around normal range 65 plus to 75.

Ask your cardiologist or heart failure nurse if they can tweak ur bisoprolol (i was originally on 3.75mg twice a day), now 2.5mg twice a day since two weeks now I think it has improved slightly for me. The job of the bisoprolol is to lower your pulse rate.

Thank you

Take care

Sami

I think you need to clarify "working", if your job is testing beds, then it sounds fine! However, if you're digging holes outside then it sounds too low! A desk job would probably be around your normal resting HR, a physical job could be anywhere >80?

A low resting HR is fine as long as you are symptom free, but best with a heart condition to let GP/Cardiologist know. If you have symptoms, then definitely tell your GP/Cardiologist.

My resting before my heart event was mid 50's, now it is ~50, can be low 40's, I have zero symptoms.

Bisoprolol, if you are taking it, will lower HR slightly at low HR levels, it has more effect the higher your HR goes.
