Change in thyroid tests as I taper Prednisone
I am 3.5 years into PMR. Honestly can't remember what my Levothyroxine dose was before I was diagnosed however throughout my battle with PMR I was taking 100mcg. and GP added 5mcg Liothyronine in 2020 as I apparently wasn't converting my T4. I had finally tapered to 5mg of Pred in March 2023 and my

T3 Uni-pharma
Happy New year to all! I have been a member for a few years now although I haven’t posted recently. I have been taking levothyroxine for over ten years and about 3 years ago I starting adding a very small amount of t3 which I self source. My question is, have uni-pharma stop producing t3 all together

Blood tests, T3 and talking to GP
Hi & happy new year, I started a trial of T3 at the end of November (privately sourced) and was planning on testing my bloods in February. It’s still early days but I do feel ‘better’. My GP has called me in for annual blood test next week, a 1.00pm appointment as no early morning ones available.

Too heavy, feeling depressed.
Hi & happy, healthy new year 🎉 Prev spoke with Slow Dragon 💝 was so grateful for the good advice back then. My Levothyroxine dose increased to 200 i had hoped it would help me loose some weight. No such luck and after recent blood test, I was told to reduce dose to 175. I feel fine, tbh no different

Levothyroxine getting less effective?
Hi all I've written before and found it very useful so hoping you can help again. I have just switched doctors surgeries and as such lost access to my online account with all my detailed results, so hope this limited information is enough to go on. At the start of last year I was overmedicated at 50mcg

Normal BMI, high body fat percentage - what gives?
Hi folks. Happy New Year to us all. I have what feels like a strange situation. Having done ZOE last summer and then upped my Levothyroxine per the advice on the forum, I’ve lost about 5kg of my 10kg thyroid weight gain. Although I have more to lose, I’m now in a healthy BMI range. BUT my body fat

HRT or not?
I’m currently taking 75mg of levo & a lot of other vitamins, but still feel tired in the afternoons. I usually need a 2 hour nap, but it’s difficult as I work full time. I should think many of you feel the same. I saw the endo at hospital who said my levels were fine & sent me away. I’m waiting

Starting T3
Hi all,I've decided to start T3. Can you please advise me how to introduce it/how much to reduce levo by? Also, I've read posts which have recommended that Thybon henning is a good option that I can get from roseway labs. December result TSH 0.012 (0.27-4.2) T3 4.8 (3.1- 6.8) T4 22.3 (12-22)

Head/neck pressure
Does anyone know what causes this? I had it a few years back, right at the start of my thyroid journey, and when I now know I was on levo but it was doing nothing. Since swapping to T3 only about 4/5 years ago I haven’t had it at all. Until now. And weirdly, it happens at the same time each night

Low T4 still.
My FT4 result continues to be quite low, I would welcome advice on my medication. SlowDragon, I think you have commented in the past. I would value your opinion now. I have been unsure what to do as there seem to be many warnings about atrial fibulation. FT4 14.6 pmol/L (9.0 - 23.0) FT3 5.4

Feeling cold despite overactive thyroid
I feel the cold all the time but GPs can't seem to find an issue. I'm currently in a heated home with three jumpers and two pairs of socks on, plus a blanket! GP did full blood tests, showing an overactive thyroid but all other tests within range (detailed below). I take 100mcg Levothyroxine a day and

Possible over treatment with Levothyroxine
Hi everyone, I’m new to the site. It was suggested that I make a post following a comment I made replying to another post as I may benefit from some guidance on my current treatment. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 9 years ago. I have been treated with Levothyroxine throughout. Since 2020

Hi I hope you all had a good Xmas. I started a trial of T3 on 9th December & have been following advice from several members here mostly slowdragon to start slowly. I felt a bit better than my usual exhaustion until Boxing day & have been totally wiped out since. I'm currently taking 5mcgs in the

interpreting results
Hi everyone, I’ve recently ordered a blood test to check my TSH, T4 and T3 levels. I’m also having my antibodies, ferritin, vit D, B12 and folate checked aswell. I’m fine interpreting the results of the vitamins and minerals, and I also understand that the higher the TSH the more underactive you are
