Where I'm at so far....
After a high PSA test result (26.2), an abnormal DRE and an MRI that was PIRADS-5 (high risk of cancer but nothing seen outside of the prostate), I finally had a biopsy last week. The pathology results showed cancer in 10 of 12 cores, 4 were grade group 2, 5 were grade group 3, 1 was grade group 4

My 22 month psa after radiation treatment (SBRT) is 1.25. What should my nadir be? Less than 0.5?
I just had my PSA test yesterday (8/21/20) and the number is 1.25 as compared to 1.69 on 3/19/20. I was diagnosed with PC in July 2018 with Greason score of 7 (4 + 3). I had radiation treatment (SBRT) at UCLA in October 2018. I am 70 years old. I have enclosed my historical PSA from 2012. Please

brachytherapy without radiotherapy for endometrial cancer.
I have been offered
radiotherapy
on its own or brachytherapy on its own. My understanding is brachytherapy has less side effects on bowel and bladder. Has anyone any experience of this they could share?

BCR - what might be next ...
It was bound to happen – came as no surprise (although you could hope for a different outcome). My PSA has jumped dramatically, in the last 6 months. Previous reading was 1.7 – jumped to 3.2 a week ago - no reason to believe that the rising numbers are going to stop 'naturally'. I was on an ADT holiday

Given all clear re Lymphnodes 8 months ago, but sentinel node biopsy didn’t work, now they have found cancer! Has anyone been through this?
Hi, My wife was diagnosed with BC, she had it removed and had a sentinel node biopsy, was all clear. 8 Months later an ultrasound revealed cancer in a Lymphnode. She just had 8 nodes removed and they found microscopic cancer in 3 other nodes. They are sure it was there from the start. They have tested

POST Radiation PSA movement
I just received my first PSA result, 7 weeks post Radiation Therapy. The number is .01. My 1 month and 3 month PSA post prostatectomy were also both .01, then it crept up to .03 at 6 months. That was 4 months ago. At that point, mostly due to my high rick Decipher we decided to start radiation therapy

My colon cancer journey
I begun treatment in April. 25 sessions of chemo (xeloda 3300mg a day) plus
radiotherapy
. It went quite well until the 18 session when major fatigue kicked in. Also, my skin around the anus peeled off causing alot of pain.

Update on my brain Mets
Hello friends. Here’s the latest on my brain Mets treatment protocol. Last MRI showed multiple tiny lesions and some larger lesions, largest of which is around 2 cm. Total is around 21. So my radiation oncologist decided to do whole brain radiation therapy (WBRT) over 10 days followed by SRS after

Regarding shrinkage...
In these situations, we often steer such patients toward other kinds of treatment such as surgery or external beam
radiotherapy
. Surgery to remove a large prostate may be the better approach, to avoid the urinary symptoms that could be associated with radiation treatments.”

Next steps on the journey
Following my earlier post, I have spoken to my RO who has suggested that I start hormone treatment immediately because there is a backlog for
radiotherapy
due to Covid 19 of at least two to three months.

Sport and Recovery
I am currently in
radiotherapy
sessions (SRT+6 months ADT) today 06/26/2020 at 7 of 35. I am testing for myself the effects of sport on recovery and side effects. My intention if the fatigue leaves me, is to run at least about 5km each radiation day.

From PC diagnosis to Penile Implant (A 2 year journey)
So, it has been a few months since I have been on here, but wanted to share a brief story of my journey thus far. It is two years exactly to the day; I got a prostatectomy. Since then, there have been many ups and downs and unforeseeable side turns. After my initial diagnosis in July of 2018, I

Now breast, lung, bowel and prostate cancer can all be treated in a WEEK as patients receive shorter courses of radiotherapy.
People having
radiotherapy
, which uses powerful radiation beams to kill cancer cells, would once have had their lives turned upside down.
