Just diagnosed and really confused!!!!!
Hi This my background. I have a history of getting chest infections, which involve feeling bunged up not being able to or find it very hard to get rid of phlegm. I try an exercise as often as possible usually about 3 or 4 times a week, by running going to gym or lift kettlebells in my home. This year

Sudden change after years of controlled asthma
I am looking to see if anyone has found themselves in my situation. I am a 40 year old women and have suffered with asthma since childhood. It has always been managed using qvar and salbutamol . My trigger was always laughing ( not a bad thing) but my asthma was controlled and did not impact on my quality

Medication Woes
Hello all, I'm just wondering if anyone struggles with the function of their inhalers. I have previously been on QVAR DMI beclamethasone and about halfway through the inhaler it blocks and I just get propellant. I followed all the advise - no water anywhere near, not stored in the bathroom in fact

Using a spacer
Stupid question alert! When i'm using a spacer (aerochamber plus) how do i know if i'm getting the full dose? Following advice from the AUK nurses i got my qvar autohaler changed to MDI with spacer and they said it might be enough to make a difference to my level of symptoms-control. She told me to

I rang the asthma advice line today
spoke to a lovely nurse, i rang because EVERY time i run i struggle with my breathing, even when i take my blue before i run i still struggle afterwards, and often during my run. I thought my asthma is generally well-controlled apart from this particular issue but she thinks maybe not. One thing she

QVAR MDI
Does anyone have problems with qvar mdi nozzle getting clogged or blocked? How can the nozzle be cleaned, an overnight soak in water doesn't do it. Poking fine wire into the nozzle can help but its very difficult.

Seen Consultant
Since I was diagnosed with COPD in July this year, I have been asking my Nurse and GP to be referred to Consultant. Several times I asked them and they kept saying that they only refer when they can no longer manage disease. I had spirometry in July with the Nurse at GP's and it came up 73%. Inhalers
