Accuracy of PSMA PET scan?
And, how much better is the new Posluma scan vs
Pylarify
? My husband is Gleason 9 (4+5) in all cores with SVI and ECE, but PSMA scan showed no spread. His PSA at dx was 13.

PSMA/PET SCAN methodology
The PSMA injection to be used is
PYLARIFY
® | Piflufolastat F 18. I also asked if it was combined with CT or MRI and he said no. I feel like he is mistaken. This from a radiology publication: "Combined PET/CT scanners perform
almost all
PET scans today.

Optilume, scans, and tests
PSMA/PET scan with
Pylarify
was cancelled twice due to insurance and provider glitches and rescheduled for March. This test is not even available in Yuma, Az. and apparently not that easy to schedule in Phoenix. I want to see that result before deciding on a course of action.

Oh, I had a
pylarify
scan Sept '23. It came back clear. I'll keep having my PSA monitored every 3 months. Any thoughts on how my PSA is rising without scans showing activity?

PSMA Pylarify Test
Finally getting a PSMA
Pylarify
test after a PSA rise from 0.64 to 0.90 in 11 weeks. Should be interesting. No symptoms from the cancer so far. At the current PSA level it would appear there is an almost 90% chance of locating cancer somewhere.

Diffuse, mild and heterogeneous radiotracer uptake throughout the prostate. NO DEFINITIVE FOCAL AREA TO CORRELATE WITH KNOWN DISEASE. 2.Prominent left external iliac chain lymph node WITHOUT significant radiotracer uptake. Continue attention on follow-up.

Help, bad Decipher results, this changes everything, please advise (NE WI area but will travel)
Sivaraman ordered
Pylarify
PET scan, which came back clean, and the Decipher. Weirdly, his most recent PSA had dropped, from 8.97 in late August to 5.13 (the urologist said it was the inflammation going down.)

Latest Pylarify clear with PSA at 4
I just had my 3rd PSMA-PET, and was relieved but surprised that it was totally clear. I had expected mets similar to my 1st one which was also run at a PSA of 4. BTW, the Axumin scan was clear at that time. I've been on an ADT/Zytiga vacation for about 18 months. My PSA did become undetectable for

Advice on mets needed
Pylarify
scan revealed apparent mets on spine, ribcage, pelvis in small numbers. His urologist suggests lutron+ docetaxel. This is a relatively rural area far from big cancer centers. Is this treatment optimal? Can he/ should also get radiation treatments for the detected lesions?
