PSA
and scans are undetectable and I don't want to take anything that would jeopardize that. I'm 72 years old. I know this may sound petty to some but golf has been my life. It's what I do.

Question
I also don't know if this is in response to her seeing the blood test results earlier than I did...which indicated, sadly, that his
PSA
jumped from 1.09 to 6.92. Are xrays ever done for those who can't tolerate scans?

PSA after SBRT for Oligometastatic
PSA
Nadir was .6-.7 after everything settled down.(2020) So my
psa
at 4 weeks after SBRT (Feb 23)went up to 1.7. Is it normal for
psa
to go up after SBRT to the spine at the 4 week point? When should I see it go down? My Rad Onc may not have set my expectations correctly. Thoughts?

Update on my Estradiol experiment
I just posted this update to my profile: UPDATE: June 5, 2023: I am continuing to take Orgovyx and my most recent
PSA
was again. <.02 in April. Also in April, I restarted my experiment with Estradiol patches as a treatment for osteoporosis and ADT SEs. I started on one 0.25 patch twice per week.

ART The Role of Genetic Testing in Prostate Cancer
PSA
levels – criteria of

Rising PSA
My concern is my rising
PSA
since August 2022 , 8.0, 10.5 and then 11.5 this week. I do have another surveillance biopsy next week but this rising
PSA
concerns me. Lab says they don't check Free
PSA
when
PSA
is over 10. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you.

Next Step?
It's now about 9 months later and my most recent
PSA
is now .05 (NO LONGER LESS THAN ). I will have my
PSA
tested again next month. My question is- assuming my April
PSA
is higher than .05, I imagine I will get scanned again.

Consulting on next steps
My experience is that it is possible to pause both chemical castration and apalutamide with the
PSA
and testosterone being monitored.
PSA
could increase slowly as testosterone recovers and any sign of disease progression will cause a re evaluation.

Travel insurance and prostate cancer
Subsequently my
PSA
started to rise again so I was treated 5 years ago with docetaxel followed by decapeptyl hormone therapy starting 4 years ago. I want to go on holiday. Can anyone recommend a travel insurance company that will provide cover at a reasonable price? Thanks.

First PSA result after treatment
Today we received his first
PSA
results since he recieved his first Eligard shot 6 months ago, and started Apalutimde 1 month ago. It’s 0.50. Should it be lower? Closer to .01? Should we worry that treatment won’t work for very long? Any insight would be so helpful!

Question about radiation
My
PSA
is now detectable at 0.12. It has been at this level since January. My oncologist/radiologist is recommending I have radiation to just the prostrate bed for 8 weeks. My PSMA PET scan came back negative, and nothing was detectable. I am meeting with my urologist on Tuesday.
