Will greatly appreciate your perspectives
PSA
in 3/22 was 2.5 (2.6 in 2020). 11/22 I repeated many labs.
PSA
elevated to 5. Got MRI -- PiRads 4. Biopsy GL 4+3, PNI, lesion contained, mid-gland. Urologist and Radiation Oncologist both agreed RP was the best choice for me.

New 2024 AUA/ASTRO/SUO Guidelines for Salvage Therapy
I think they should recommend adjuvant ADT at a
PSA
≥0.35 instead of ≥0.7 because I think patients are hoping for curative SRT and not just equivalent survival.

FYI: from the VA research information on Veterans
The researchers suggested these men could be regularly monitored using a
PSA
blood test and offered surgery to reduce symptoms if they develop.

Best use of Psa to guide intermittent hormone therapy
presently on relugolix + Darolutamide for local reccurrence and will go off these drugs if
Psa
is less than .65 three months ago tested and go back on when
Psa
reaches 3-5.. Seems it will be about 6months and hopefully 6 months off, Tentative protocol so far. Input from all and for all welcomed.

psa
(.19) and T=130 I can understand why
psa
increasing but why T dropped to this level.

Doctor says husband's situation is rare
PSA
has been right around 6 for a long time. The doctors are very confused and said this is all rare. They have also said repeatedly that this is life threatening. They started him on Firmagon last week. Any others heard of situations like this?

Just Diagnosed
About three years ago I had a routine
PSA
done by my primary doctor in Illinois. Shortly after I moved to Nevada , retiring. So I received a call from my Dr. In Illinois who tells me that my
PSA
is 12.7. He explains that it is very high and I must see a Urologist very soon.

Trying to get to retirement before HT
My
PSA
level before the biopsy was 8.1, and my Gleason Score was 4+4. Fortunately, there are no signs of metastases. Although my treatment hasn't started yet, it's likely that I'll begin radiation therapy in early December.

Post Docetaxel scan, which one?
PSA
now <.03. Last dose of Docetaxel due on 3rd May. Given previous CT and MRI scans having shown no abnormalities and
PSA
at <.03 which scan to go for to assess response to Docetaxel therapy? (
PSA
came down to <.03 even before Chemotherapy!) Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

My weight I was 138kg now I am 107kg Anti depressants certainly My T score is now 24 nmols, my
psa

#1 urologist checked my
psa

If it doesn't make you feel bad, is it working?
After the second treatment, his
PSA
had gone down to 22 from 41. After the third, it had increased to 25. Bone and CT scans have been ordered but there is a backlog. We expect the bone scan in the next week or so, but the CT might be quite a while. PSMA will be ordered after that.

Pluvicto works but at what cost
Previously on Firmagon, Xtandi worked for awhile, nothing with Xofigo and a few rounds of Jevtana didn’t help and caused problems, also had localized XRT - but had to have chemo to qualify for Pluvicto which is a great advanced treatment for many of us After multiple delays getting Pluvicto with

Finally Undetectable PSA on BAT
My
PSA
has continued to decline on this regimen. It was down by 90% in January 2023 to 0.030. Now it has become undetectable <0.015. These were measured at towards the end of the ADT month of each cycle. So my next step will be to measure it during the high testosterone phases.

Need help please
When fully healed and and feeling ok I thought maybe ok on no meds so for last two months not on any Meds for
PSA
. A few days ago My big toe to foot joint suddenly swelled and became unbearable to put weight on it and shows no signs of improvement making me realise this maybe a flare.

Value of LDH
A young oncologist where I had my PSMA scan requested
PSA
, testosterone and LDH tests to go along with the scan. My LDH was at the low end of the "range" (but we still didn't discuss it LOL). My question is what part (if any) will/should LDH play in my treatment going forward ?
