Hi....all the best to your Dad. I have no idea if stopping radiation for a time would m after. I did 5 on 2 days off for 28 treatments. You did not mention any PSA or Gleason number. Not sure that would matter...but someone here might venture another opinion based on those numbers and If he is metastatic or not. We are all withyou!

Thanks Poppy! I appreciate the post! Dad is stage four.. Gleason was pretty high, I believe a 10 and his most recent PSA had risen to a 2 after being well into the tenths and hundredths for years. He has his prostate, and had received chemo, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and second line horrible therapy with quite a bit of success since he was diagnosed in June 2015.
He was scheduled for twenty rounds. He's 82, so I don't know if that's why so few. He also has a lot of other health issues.. heart bypass, multiple heart attacks, brain cancer, etc.
Fortunately the cancer is still retained to the prostate. We're hoping this radiation buys us some time until another therapy comes along. Pluvicto has been mentioned but the jury is still out in my opinion if the side effects are worth the inconsistent benefits.. we'll see!
