I posted several mos. ago after being diagnosed with distant only metastatic -- GL7, low
PSA
, thought to be contained and headed for surgery, but asked for a PSMA -- showed 8-10 lesions in ribs and scapula. Mostly low SUV. Diagnosis changed from treatable to terminal.

My husband was diagnosed in Jul 2021
PSA

Finally I was able to get a PSMA Pet scan to ID the source of the
PSA
. I had trouble getting support for more radiation, but finally got it zapped. Palliative of course! Following the high dose proton beam radiation my
PSA
has been reduced to 0.01.

Experience, thus far with Lupron and Abiraterone
I was diagnosed in May 2022 with PCa after my
PSA
was measured at 23.79. I have no other health issues. Following the determination that PCa was still within the prostrate capsule and had not spread to any other organ, I was placed on Lupron (6 monthly IM injections for 2 years).

Surgery or radiation, looking for some advices
Quite high
PSA
(way over 20), and spread to multiple lymph nodes. The surgeon said surgery is still doable, followed by radiation. Radiation oncologist recommended hormone therapy followed by radiation.

BAT trial
After 1 week my
PSA
flared from 50 to just over 90, in other circumstances this would have sent me into a major meltdown but the experts assure me this is a common occurrence and it is possible my
PSA
will remain elevated while I receive the testosterone boosters.

Are Lymph nodes a filter?
When I took the ADT, my
PSA
went from 1000, down to 6, and all evidence of cancer disappeared from my lymph, pretty much immediately.

psa
-level-recurrence-after-treatment. My
PSA
level on Friday was 0.14.

Chemo or clinical trial?
Stopped Pluvicto after #3 due to rising
PSA
and progression. Hoping to get next gen. sequencing from biopsy sample and (maybe) functional testing. But, it's going to take some time to get results and I feel I can't wait.

Prostate cancer but normal PSA?
A month after my diagnosis and prior to any treatment, I modified my diet and started supplements and dropped my
PSA
by 30% from 29 to 20 just with diet and nutrition. Yesterday, they did a follow-up 1-month blood panel and my
PSA
came back as 2.7!!!

CR Advanced Prostrate Ca, and start of chemotherapy after PSMA
His
PSA
went down to 0.02 and later to 0.01 for almost 14 to 15 years. In early 2022, his
PSA
started rising again, though slowly. In 2023, we consulted our Urologist again, who has put him on Bicalutamide 50 OD again for two months. However, this med did not work this time.

Finished 8 Rounds of Docetaxel
Before starting Docetaxel my
PSA
was 23.8; after 8 rounds my
PSA
dropped to 5.7! My MO is giving me a 3 month break. I will get another
PSA
in 3 months and we will reassess my situation. My MO has already told me my next treatment will be pluvicto. Hopefully I won’t need it for quite a while.

I had a follow up with my MO yesterday with new labs I can see that my

Dental Issues with Finesteride
PSA
has been slowly rising and hit 2.8. My urologist put me on finesteride. It prevents the conversion of T to DHT. Five weeks after starting on it I experienced an onslaught of dental problems. Very sensitive teeth both top and bottom on left side.
