Hello, I have been taking Xtandi since June 2022, It has taken my PSA down to <.01 (less than) and so far has kept it there. Which I am very grateful! I am self pay and not old enough to have Medicare (just turned 64). I have recieved the Xtandi thru Astellas pharmacy in Texas. I have always qualified, this year they denied my application, because they have lowered how much income a person can make. (I am still working.) We have sent in an appeal and are waiting for that decision (hoping for a positive response). Are there any other avenues to explore--does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? I have not talked to my MO yet, I am going to reach out to them tomorrow. I am working with the financial people at the cancer center to help me with this.
Thanks in advance if anyone has suggestions.

Hi. You may already be doing this but there is a rebate program for up to $7000 per year. The program does not cover Medicare subscribers but I thought it was open to both people on private (employer) insurance and no insurance. I am on a high deductible health plan with a $6500 annual deductible. The program rebate covers my January Rx which in turn covers my deductible and the next 11 months are covered by insurance. If this is your situation, I recommend that you submit the rebate paperwork directly yourself. In past years when I attempted to process the rebate through my insurance carrier, they kept the rebate funds and did not reduce my deductible. Here’s the url for processing a rebate. You should be able to get to the sign up page from there. Message me if you have any further questions. Good luck.
