Any advice for a specialist in NYC to monitor my post-RP PSA?
So, still "undetectable" (ie <0.05), but I've been advised to get the
PSA
checked every 3 months. So, can anyone chime in to recommend a specialist to help me monitor my
PSA
? I assume a urologist is in order, unless my
PSA
does increase. Or maybe even just a GP?

PSA testing comparison question
So fast forward to this past week and I needed more blood work for
PSA
and T in preparation for my quarterly call with Dr Kishan in 2 days (Tuesday), so I went to my primary care doctors office for the blood work.

I posted several mos. ago after being diagnosed with distant only metastatic -- GL7, low
PSA
, thought to be contained and headed for surgery, but asked for a PSMA -- showed 8-10 lesions in ribs and scapula. Mostly low SUV. Diagnosis changed from treatable to terminal.

New diagnosis
Initial
PSA
test was a staggering 15.6. I'm average height, normal weight, 75 kg. A non smoker and generally fit and well with no other conditions, nor do I take any medication for anything else. This was just a random
PSA
blood test, instigated by me, no symptoms at all.

Treatment decision made
Decided to go the treatment route, took me a while but AS is no good mentally,
PSA
has crept up from 4.2 to 5.1 in 18 months, awaiting appt date with oncologist.Presumably SBRT as per discussion when diagnosed in autumn '22, will be at Christies Manchester. Will keep folk posted.

Newly diagnosed stage 4 prostate cancer, age 77,
PSA
in low 20 range. PSMA (type of PET scan) revealed metastasis to 7 bone sites, with intermittent hip pain alleviated with Tylenol.

Should I sell and retire with PSA at 0.1 following 9 months undetectable?
Following nine months of undetectable
PSA
results, I recently received the news that my
PSA
is no longer undetectable and is now at 0.1. While this value is still relatively low, it has understandably caused me some stress and uncertainty.

Rickyfish56 "Introduction"
PSA
in Sept. 2023 was Undetectable. I run 4.5 miles three times a week, casual 2x week weight lifting, trying to get more intense. 12 Grandkids, 1 more on the way, kinda busy, LOL! Feel great, no known side affects, so far.

Any experience with Xtandi (enzolutamide).
It seems to be working, Scans and
PSA
are where they should be and symptoms are more discouraging than debilitating. The 1st yr was covered through Astellas Pt Assistance, but I no longer meet the income -- lack of -- requirements. Co-Pay for 30 days was $3202.19.

PSA rising after my 4th chemo
I had a steady decrease in
PSA
during my first 3 round of docetaxel. It was 15 before starting, 3 after the first infusion, 1.5 after the second, 1.01 after the third. Each time it was measure 3 weeks from the infusion (on the day before the next infusion).

Sufficient Investigation?
The GP was reluctant to give him his
PSA
result and said it was too soon after his obstructive episode. About 2 months ago he found from the nurse taking blood that a prior
PSA
was 8. That is the only result he has had.

Question for my father
I had my prostate removed 2 years ago at MSK and have recovered well with a still undetectable
PSA
. I’m writing for advice on my 91 yo father. He was recently found to have bone metastases throughout his skeleton.
PSA
is in the 70s.

Does Gleason score still apply after RP
My
psa
was in the .02-.03 range bouncing up and down for 8 years. Last visit 4 months ago it went to .05 which scared me. My question is, if it is cancer cells that are growing, would they still be Gleason 6?

Zencor & XmAb
My most recent PSMA scan showed further progression of metastasis in bone and lymph nodes and my
PSA
has increased fairly rapidly. Currently taking both Orgovyx & Nubeqa. I'm hoping some of the smart and well versed members might weigh in. Thanks

Would I be on thin ice if I tried adaptive ADT this soon?
I have low volume

infusion Side Effects
My
PSA
continues to move up so my oncologist ordered 20 sessions of radiation. The radiation was a walk in the park compared to the 1030-1048 Zometa infused Wednesday morning. Holy cow ! Peed (a few dribbles) every half hour. Chills then sweats.

Testosterone was nearly back to normal, then dropped
By the way,
PSA
is still barely detectable for the past 6 months (less than 0.1) Any thoughts?
