Anyone keeping Biochemical Recurrence under control without ADT?
While ADT appears to be the gold standard for initial BCR there appear to be a plethora of other methods that address it as well ( Salvage Therapy, Non Hormonal Tx's ( eg
Provenge
, Metformin) Natural Substances ( eg...Pomegranate ,curcumin, Sulforphane) I imagine some here might be attempting to address

***15Months So far so good***
Doc says I will start immunotherapy now (
Provenge
) he says I'm at the optimal stage in my treatment that this will benefit me greatly. I'm kind of excited about starting this treatment I know sounds crazy right? But I trust my Doctor and I'm going for it.

Provenge.....no side effects? How is that possible?
I didn't die from the
Provenge
treatments...but they were horrible. From the first insertion of the two LARGE needles and being strapped down in a chair for almost 3 hours unable to move. Just that alone felt like some kind of torture I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

Hubby went thru the
Provenge
treatment last summer. Any thoughts? Our Onc Dr. didn't seem very disturbed about the difference.

Probably

Chemo again -- after all other treatments for advance PCa
In the first two years he went through just about everything (Xofigo,
Provenge
, then Xtandi, and squeezed a few months out of Zytiga). Bugger cells have found their work arounds. So what's up now?

Wrong treatment 11 months in?
Treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa,
Provenge
x 1, Lupron every 3 months, 39 radiation treatments to whole pelvis completed December, 2018. PSA 2.55 in March, 2019, rectal exam large area on right side, reduced. Should I be concerned PSA not lower?

Keytruda w/Provenge
Are the checkpoint inhibitor trials too disappointing to try to wangle some Keytruda injections immediately behind
Provenge
? What are the details surrounding the genetic marker test, and has anybody bypassed it or know the stipulations involved? Thanks Nous Defions Crabcrusher

Decipher and CR
If the Decipher test indicates you will likely be castrate resistent, why would one wait to prove it before trying
Provenge
? Why does Medicare wait for you to prove it? I would think a quick start on it would mean less $ in the long run for other treatment protocols?

PSA Signals What Exactly?
He is post dosetaxl,
provenge
, cabatzitaxel (sp?) and still on lupron (since beginning) and xtandi since Aug 2017. I also wonder what they’ll try next. He has had stable Mets to his bones.

What’s next?
Since then Lupron,
Provenge
, Xtandi (which I only took for 3-4 months before PSA spiked. Tried docetaxel but had bad reaction 1st time but was able to finish the treatment. 2nd treatment had even worse reaction with seizure. Dr said no more docetaxel.

Casodex dosage
I am pending application for
Provenge
. Also Olaparib outside of clinical trials, as I am BRCA2+. Hitting it hard.

Xtandi Resistance Treatment
Said Zytiga and Apalutamide would not be effective because of cross resistance and does not recommend
Provenge
. Based on articles I have read I told him to try adding Indomethacin and Ranolazine.to his current treatment. His last PSA was .9 and the pain in his hip is gone. So far looks promising.

You never know
In all I had a prosectomy, 2 different hormone treatments, 2 radiation treatments then
provenge
immunology therapy. Next I did taxotre chemo and was on a oral chemo. I was getting sicker everyday while my PSA was under20. I could not use my right hand to write or even eat.
