Hi all, My father's PSA has risen to 0.5 today. He had the prostate removal 6.5 yrs back in 2017. His gleason score was 8, PSA around 20 at the time of surgery. However post surgery, it was indicated that seminal vesicles were clean and no occurence in lymph nodes so it was indeed a localized tumor

tumour went from 2cm x 2cm to 5cm x 3cm It looks like it seeded back to my liver and lungs, , I may of had 3 to 8 or more years, listening to MO not radiating was a huge mistake it may of shortened my already pca stage 4 shortened life My wife begged me to radiate my prostate bed after Radical Prostatectomy

Due to prostatectomy (even though nerve sparing), radiation and ongoing hormone therapy, I’m not having success in that department. We’ve tried all the meds - no help. Tried tri-mix - results excellent but the pain was unendurable, as was the duration.

Happy to share that no detectable psa score at 2 years post prostatectomy. I feel blessed since I delayed radiation which was suggested by Urologist. Going from 3 month checks to 6 month checks. Hopefully they got it all Excellent site for info signing off I hope for good. 🙏🤞

In the hospital my father had a prostate radiation embolization procedure and now he is scheduled to have a simple Da Vinci prostatectomy to make his prostate smaller so he can get rid of the catheter ..

My husband was had a robotic radical prostatectomy 1/2019 with no major complications or side effects. Gleason 4+3, negative margins and no positive lymph nodes. There was cribiform invasion of a nerve but all margins of the prostate and 0/13 LN were negative after surgery.

I am looking at a prostatectomy, but I had a TURP 8 yrs ago. How does this change the risk factors and my potential quality of life for a prostatectomy?

He has had a prostatectomy and salvage radiation in the post surgical bed as well as intermittent hormone therapy a couple of years ago (Eligard).

In Feb of 2021 I had a prostatectomy and subsequently required 8 weeks of salvage radiation in 2022. The cancer was unusually high in my prostate near my bladder. I am happy to share that my PSA has been undetectable for the past 18 months.

I have been on ADT after radical Prostatectomy for over 14 months and to date aside from the sexual libido loss I have had very little side effects. I have always been a health / exercise buff & continue to exercise everyday to maintain my mental & physical health and so far very good results.

The near death experience after myI prostatectomy then ecoli. 2012 was a rough year. Mesh sling to get off diapers 2013 and Appendicitis in 2014. I survived because I am a taurus and too stubborn to die!Now at 70 renal cysts with cancer! I am still too stubborn to die so I will survive this too!

I had prostatectomy 2008, G3+4, ,pT2c, now updated to pT2cN1M0. Have postponed HT with rising PSA (now 8.9). Had SRT 2011 to prostate bed. Have had Axumin scan and then had 3rd PSMA PET scan recently (this month).

Hi All, Hard to believe that it’s been 12 years since my prostatectomy. So many health issues since then that PCa has moved down my list of worries. My PSA for the prior 2 years was .008. This year’s result just back and it’s ticked up to .009.
