Two weeks post RP
Today marks two weeks post
prostatectomy
. I have my first follow up appointment tomorrow where the doc will remove my Foley. The first few days were rough. There was significant pain, but the opiates helped a lot.

Survival Outcomes of Radical Prostatectomy vs EBRT in Prostate Cancer Patients With Gleason Score 9–10 at Biopsy
Therefore, cancer-specific mortality (CSM) rates after radical
prostatectomy
(RP) ± adjuvant radiation therapy (aRT) vs. external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) were tested.

Minor but steady rise in PCA, recurrence?
Post chemo, salvage radiation,
prostatectomy
and currently on 4 tabs enzalutamide daily, zoledronic 3 monthly, eligard 6 monthly. The PSA seems to be rising <.01, .01,.013,.02 and now .03 in consecutive months. Doctor has asked to monitor another two months and then go for psma pet scan.

Almost three years in with oligometastatic PCa. Guidance welcome --- are we doing all we should?
- Would a
prostatectomy
prolong life? At a higher quality than he'd have otherwise? (husband is reluctant to have it and doc is neutral). Should we pursue a second opinion at MD Anderson or Sloane-Kettering at this point? Somewhere else?

Good so far!
I was diagnosed Dec. 2005, had
prostatectomy
Feb 2006. Was undetectable for several years but psa started to rise. When it got to 5.0, had radiation for 7 weeks. Was good for couple of years, then after gallium 68 test, found mastastis lymph nodes. More radiation coupled with Zytiga and pregnizone.

Advice for men who are about to start hormone treatment for metastatic prostate cancer?
I had a
prostatectomy
in 2011, with follow-up 6 month hormone treatment and adjuvent radiation treatment of the prostate bed because my margins weren't clear and there was seminal vesicle invasion. My PSA was "undetectable" until 2017, when it gradually started rising situation.

Impact of Cerebrovascular Disease on Survival Benefits from Local Treatment in Patients with De Novo Metastatic Hormone-Sensitive PCa.
Patients were stratified according to prior CVD history and the type of initial treatment: androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT) alone versus local treatment consisting of radical
prostatectomy
(RP) or radiation therapy (RT) with ADT, with or without metastasis-directed therapy.

Not sure his recommendations but I think the radical

would be my best option. Any thoughts?

ADT in men with node-positive prostate cancer treated with postoperative radiotherapy.

Blood count concerns
If not PCa, could I be looking at lymphoma, caused by all the radiation I’ve been exposed to (8 weeks post
prostatectomy
back in 2016, in addition to this year’s LN RT)? After so many ups and downs over the past 4 years, I start to expect the worst.

Circulating Tumor Cells in Men Who Have Undergone Prostatectomy for Localized, High-Risk Prostate Cancer
TAKE-HOME MESSAGE •In this study, blood samples were taken from 37 patients with high-risk, localized prostate cancer at 2 to 5 months following
prostatectomy
to assess the use of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as biomarkers. CTCs were detected in 30 of 37 samples.
