Going to the gym
I’ve put on some weight since my
prostatectomy
, and it’s time to head to the gym. Since I leak even under routine activity, I’m concerned using the equipment will cause more leakage. The last thing I want is to pee on the equipment.

My
prostatectomy
was on 1/26/18 (almost 4 weeks ago). They removed 28 lymph nodes during surgery, 8 of which had cancer. There was extra capsular extension, seminal vesicle invasion, perineural nerve invasion, and positive margins near the bladder neck.

Long-term remission of prostate cancer with extensive bone metastases upon immuno- and virotherapy: A case report
In August 2005, the patient underwent a radical
prostatectomy
. Despite standard treatment, the patient developed progressive bone metastases and stopped conventional therapy in June 2007. Starting in October 2007, the patient was treated with LHT, oncolytic virotherapy and DC vaccination.

Starting to panic
I have not started any treatment yet since my
prostatectomy
Dec.6. I meet with the Radiation oncologist March 1st and then with my Urologist for the treatment plan. I am just having issues holding it together after finding out this morning.

summer of 2013, 39 radiation treatments spring of 2014, rising PSA summer of 2016. I am currently getting Eligard shots every six months that seem to have things under control; last check PSA .25 and testosterone 13.3.

Pacey Cuff for Male Urinary Incontinence
I want to let men know that there is a new device available to assist with the management of urinary incontinence, especially post
prostatectomy
UI. I am intrigued by this product's claim that blood flow remains normal while it is being used.

Article from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Cornell Medical College about multi-modal treatment of advanced disease.

AXUMIN PET/CT STUDIES IN BCR PATIENTS . BY Nick Mulcahy,Medscape.
Among men who had already undergone
prostatectomy
and whose PSA level was <.5, there was a 25% detection rate upon scanning. That would have triggered salvage RT at Toeh's institution at Oxford, he said.

Treated Twice
My
prostatectomy
was in August 2011. At first PSA was undetectable but I did have positive margins at that time. Later I had radiation starting February 2017 when PSA started to rise. Doing fine now. Still bothered by ED and stress incontinence.

Positive Results
My Gleason score was 4+5, aggressive cancer and after talking with my urologist and reading this blog and another I decided to have a robotic
prostatectomy
. I had surgery August 31, had little pain from the surgery and surgeon thought the cancerr was contained in the gland.

Intro- New to Group
My
prostatectomy
happened back in November 2011, which indicated an 'out of the box' (extra-capsular extensions) Gleason Scale 9 condition. The following summer, I had follow-up external beam radiation, but rising PSA levels still indicated circulating cancer cells (no shown metastasis).

More Bad News After Radical Prostatectomy
There is also a clinical trial at John Hopkins for men with advanced PC who have had a radical
prostatectomy
. They are calling me tomorrow about participating in the trial. It will consist of chemotherapy along with hormone therapy and radiation.

17 years of various treatments
He had a laparoscopic
prostatectomy
done in 2/2002 by Dr. Arnon Krongrad in Florida. That was 10K out of pocket because out insurance didn't cover such a procedure. Within 4 years his PSA was rising so he had the 36 days of radiation done at U of Minnesota.

Treatment options for metastases post Radical Prostatectomy
My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2015, following which he underwent radical
prostatectomy
(2015), hormone therapy (2015), and radiation therapy (2016). This year his PSA level started rising and PET CT scan has revealed metastases in right iliac bone.
