alcohol
hi has anyone has a couple of alcoholic beverages while on Prednisolone. I am down to 3mg and have been off alcohol since I started my PMR journey. Just wondering if it’s best not to have any alcohol until down to zero, or if a couple of pints would do a lot of harm.

Very tired & can’t walk in straight line.
I was diagnosed in Jan 2023 with PMR & put on 15mg Prednisolone. I am now tapering 1mg per month and am down to 8mg. I am exhausted most of the time, can’t walk in a straight line and stagger quite a bit if very tired. I also have a very annoying sensation under my scalp on the top of my head, which

Rituximab Reaction
Unfortunately I react really severely to
prednisone
in the long term and azathioprine too. I feel a bit overwhelmed by it all today and a bit anxious about how they'll now treat my IgG4 disease. Sorry for the waffly message. I just needed to get it out.

Asthma without infection
Brief history. Moved north to West Yorkshire in 1974 (aged 29). Started with beathing difficulties. Had allergy tests and a course of desensitisation injections, which worked, but whenever I caught a cold, it morphed into a sore throat and chest infection leading to gasping for breath. Major attack

I saw the nice lady GP today about my recent blood results from 5 Sept 2023: CRP less than 5 mg/l ERS 14 mm/h Rheumatoid factor less than 10 iu/ml Anti-nuclear factor negative (less than 1/100) Iron, B12, folate and Vit D levels OK. T4 and TSH normal Hb a1c 39 mmol/mol - so 9 months pred hasn't

Progression of SCLE to SLE
Hello, I've had SCLE for many years now and I have several over autoimmune issues. But, more recently I had been feeling really odd (more than usual), very difficult to describe, but I felt like my inner core was shaking, lightheadedness and nausea. I was sort of just putting up with it until about a

Interesting info
However, no study has yet compared the benefits and risks of low-dose GCs (≤7.5 mg
prednisone
equivalent per day)75 without DMARDs against DMARDs without GCs." Just proves what many have been saying here...

Following a nasty virus at Xmas still struggling with excessive mucus & wheezinessConsultant suggested
prednisone
might help when nothing showing up in sputum sample but most recent one revealed a small amount of pseudomonas. Would steroids help please? Linda

Zytiga started
Although we are not completely convinced it is needed : PSA went from 2 to 3 immediately after 6 weeks radiation which we expected to happen, MO insists on us adding Zy and
prednisone
. I am trying to get a second opinion but I did start it about 2 weeks ago.

Xtandi after Zytiga
MO refusing to substitute dexa for
prednisone
with Abiraterone since it's not FDA approved. Convinced (?) him to wait 3 weeks (4/5) for blood test after radiation of only active met to check PSA which was 0.253 on 1/21 and 0.309 on 2/21. Hoping result lets me stay on Aba as long as possible.

Increased prednisone to address this longstanding flare
I've been flaring since September '22 when I got the last covid booster and finally decided that I needed to increase my
prednisone
to address the increasing aches and pains that seem to be spreading as time wore on.

Time of absorption for gastro-resistant prednisolone???
Just gone to get mum’s next box 2.5mg & she has been given gastro-resistant tablets 🤷♀️🤷♀️ Must have been a bad day at pharmacy as they had also written the wrong dose on the box!! I will order some more asap, but how long do these take to get into the system? She’s on a split dose due to adrenals

GCA Flareup
Methortrexate to get me off
prednisone
, I said no to that because if I do have a flare up I need to increase the
prednisone
again, then I'll have another drug to deal with.
