PMR type pain with normal blood labs
Should I just continue to reduce the
prednisone
and push through the pain? I'm also considering seeing an Endocronologist to get help with tapering, but I don't have fatigue (so maybe my adrenals are okay). Is this even warranted?

I did one week of
prednisone
and it was miraculous. But can’t stay on it. Once off pain came right back. It’s a struggle. I try to think about friends with pancreatic cancer or Parkinson’s. Still no one gets it when you says pudendal neuralgia including most doctors. Hang in friends.

rubbery and jello feeling legs
I am now down to 3 mg of
prednisone
and have had pmr for 2.5 years. Have been reducing since my last flare, at .5 mgs per 5 weeks with the old and new dose alternating for a week at the beginning. Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year to all.

Asthma Flare Viral Infection Prednisolone
But after a 5 day course of 40 mg
Prednisone
my chests still tight and waking me from my sleep which is worrying me. I’ve never taken oral steroids before so not sure if this is an unusual occurrence for them not to work after 5 days or could something else be going on here?

switching to a carnivore diet has put my PMR into total remission
It also probably spared me from being put on
prednisone
again. I make no claims that this will work for others, only that it appears to have worked for me.

Increase dosage and taper
I have been managing my PMR for seven years, and on
prednisone
for five of those years after thinking I could manage it withou meds. Dumb idea. I can taper down to 4mg or 5mg, but have to then increase to a higher dosage to address a reoccurring pain and numbness in arms.

New to PMR
I will try tapering down the
prednisone
again in a bit, but I am terrified of developing GCA. I would frankly rather deal with the side effects of
prednisone
than risk going blind from GCA.

I’m at end stage emphysema have just come off a dose of
prednisone
. Felt halfway human and motivated to do small jobs around the house. It felt so good just to make us both a cup of tea What is the reason why GPS are against giving a small does daily just to be able to have some quality of life.

My medical began
prednisone
treatments on November 1st, and its been a roller coaster ride thus far. I am optimistic, and hopeful that we will figure out the appropriate protocol to manage this disorder. Thank you for allowing me access your site.

Looks like here we go again...to treatment.
I was treated with a combination of Rituxan and
Prednisone
(8 rounds of infusions) with three days of infusions each round. I had a really good oncologist who was a CLL specialist who has since left to go work at Princeton University.

For the transfer I am taking

Stop Prednisone completely?
Started on
Prednisone
took 13mg, went to bed, arose next morning and the PMR was gone. It was a little miracle and I have been worshipping at the altar of St.
Prednisone
ever since. I have had zero flares.

Prednisone use.
Does anyone here use
Prednisone
approx 5 mg on almost a daily basis and if so has it caused you any repercussions. I am unable to use most puffers other than Ventolin as I react badly to them, spasms, hoarseness, foggy eyes etc etc.

Generic TCZ---is it available in the UK?
I've been on it for five years and will be kept on it as a safeguard when and if I get off of
prednisone
. I would love to think this may make it more available to patients in the UK. Do you think it will?

Malecare newsletter reports Finish study glucocorticoids (e.g. prednisone, prednisolone, dexamethasone) can lead to castrate resistance

In prostate cancer, the glucocorticoid receptor can replace the activity of the androgen receptor, which is main oncogenic factor in this
