Enhertu side effect: pneumonitis (lung inflammation)
Unfortunately this means I have to abandon Enhertu and wait to start any new chemo until the lungs are stabilized through a course of high-dose steroids (60 mg
Prednisone
/day) that will gradually taper off over several weeks.

Another injury, wrist this time
I'm still in the phase of waiting to find out if zero
prednisone
is permanent this time around, so hardly need an event like this. Still, could be worse. Shh, hope my demon didn't hear that!

Immunology - prednsione, tacrolimus, intralpids.. what else? :)
For the transfer I am taking
prednisone
and tacrolimus, plus intralipids. Should I be checking this area more?

I did one week of
prednisone
and it was miraculous. But can’t stay on it. Once off pain came right back. It’s a struggle. I try to think about friends with pancreatic cancer or Parkinson’s. Still no one gets it when you says pudendal neuralgia including most doctors. Hang in friends.

is this what CR looks like?
Therapies have included amoxicillin/klav +
prednisone
and now a series of intratympanic injections (I believe dexamethasone). My point being, this has been high stress. My world has basically gone off the rails.

Increase dosage and taper
I have been managing my PMR for seven years, and on
prednisone
for five of those years after thinking I could manage it withou meds. Dumb idea. I can taper down to 4mg or 5mg, but have to then increase to a higher dosage to address a reoccurring pain and numbness in arms.

PMR... back on 20mg
Saw my GP on Tuesday, we discussed the pain, stiffness and fatigue I was experiencing since tapering off
prednisone
late last year. She agreed I should start at 20mg day, after bloods for Crp and ESR. The results: Crp 3 and ESR 63.

Avacopan (Tavneos®) is accepted for use within NHSScotland.
In a phase III study, avacopan demonstrated non-inferiority to
prednisone
for remission at week 26, and was superior to
prednisone
for sustained remission at week 52 in patients with GPA or MPA.

switching to a carnivore diet has put my PMR into total remission
It also probably spared me from being put on
prednisone
again. I make no claims that this will work for others, only that it appears to have worked for me.

PMR type pain with normal blood labs
Should I just continue to reduce the
prednisone
and push through the pain? I'm also considering seeing an Endocronologist to get help with tapering, but I don't have fatigue (so maybe my adrenals are okay). Is this even warranted?

6 MONTH PMR UPDATE
Since then, I have tapered 100% off of
prednisone
. My inflammation markers have normalized. I have been turned over to my primary care provider from Rheumatology. I have went back to work part-time without issue.

My gp wasn’t convinced to start with but eventually started me on 15mg of
prednisone
and within a couple of days almost all pain and stiffness had disappeared.

Gum Sensitivity on Prednisone
I am on 40 mg of
prednisone

Prednisone
cause gum sensitivty and brittle nails? My gums now bleed easily. They never did before CGA. Always had strong nails. Not anymore? Any comments much appreciated\ Groda
