My doctor suggested to me that it's
prediabetes
stage. Please suggest to me how to become normal stage from this stage without medication.

High-Normal Blood Sugar Harms Brain
Comparing the before and after images, the researchers found significant brain shrinkage among those whose blood sugar levels were high but still below the World Health Organization’s threshold for
prediabetes
(fasting glucose under 110 mg/dL).

Hb1Ac of 5.6
I'm new and I Just learned from my physician my Hb1Ac is 5.6; normal according to her, but on the brink of
prediabetes
. She really put the fear of God into me in terms of the health risks if I do not change my ways (meds, weight gain, blindness). Anybody been here?

Why am I so addicted to FOOD?
I also have
Prediabetes
so I really need a kick up the butt. I've been reading the NHS 12 week diet plan and really want to start asap. However, I need motivation and a clear mind to be able to focus. Has anyone got any tips? Thanks in advance.

However, on eating normally the way I did before the diagnosis of
Prediabetes
, my PPBG has shot up above 200 mg/dl several times, indicating I am now a Diabetic.

Prednisone info needed
i have bi polar. which causes anxiety so right now I am having trouble dealing with that, possible
prediabetes
, weight gain, and the onset of PMR. Sometimes I deal with things by denial, but I dont think that is the answer this time.

Determined or foolish?
I was determined to go hear 2 speakers today on
prediabetes
. I was also lightheaded( more than usual) probably from the stomach meds. I went, heard the speakers, ate the food I brought during the event and then went to have a light lunch at a place I like.

I have many risk factors BMI 37, labile hypertension with LV hypertrophy, controled hypercholesterolaemia, hypothyroidism,
prediabetes
with insulin resistance to name but a few. The problem is that I have been told my liver is massive but no follow up.

After Decades Of Failing To Control Diabetes, Now Research Says What LCHF Diabetics Always Say
Now, the latest research (including the so called experts -- ADA) also says that treating patients with
prediabetes
as if they had diabetes could help prevent or delay the most severe complications associated with this chronic disease.

Undiagnosed, advice welcome
I've gone strictly no sugar low carb though since learning about the possible
prediabetes
. Like I say I'll pad this out a bit soon but just wondering what peoples initial thoughts are. I've booked to see GP again this coming Thursday and would like to request deeper testing.

However in individuals with
prediabetes
and type 2 diabetes mellitus, the pancreas overcompensates and releases excess amounts of insulin, a condition known as hyperinsulinemia. Over time, the beta cells are permanently damaged.

My blood sugar tests from last week were okay - both the one for that moment and the longer term one - so I just need to be careful with what I eat, its definitely
prediabetes
not, as he feared, that I am already diabetic.

I was on Medrol (6 mg daily) for a little over a year, but then my GP diagnosed me with
prediabetes
, and sent me to an endo who freaked out when he found out I was taking Medrol. He told me to get off it asap, although I had to wean off it very slowly to avoid horrible withdrawal symptoms.
