Do I need a Psychiatrist
Had left bullectomy and
pleurodesis
5 months ago and had loads of residual pain - sternum, pins and needles burning etc. Investigations clear( Ish). COPD stage 2 and starting to find exercise difficult and work harder but taking it easier to reduce stress etc and waiting for pulmonary rehab.

Stage IV NSCLC - Very Agressive
Thankfully, a
pleurodesis
helped him after taking off 3 liters of fluid, but since cancer was in his chest wall, only chemo was an option. My husband took 8 rounds of chemo, but unfortunately the cancer has spread to other areas, including his bones and the T10 in his spine.

Reclaiming my life. Where the process began.
The next day they tried to perform a VATS
pleurodesis
but the pleura was badly loculated and the procedure aborted. My surgeon reported that she found necrotic cancer cell in my pleura.

Recurrence after only five months.BRCA2.pleurodesis,deposits on spleen, enlarged lymph nodes in tummy, cancer cells in pleural fluid, caelyx
Can't quite get my head around all this.. so upset. Oncologist says I am now platinum resistant and 'incurable'. Caelyx next option. My daughters are devastated. So many negative thoughts right now. What if caelyx does not work.....told not eligible for parp as need six month remission.... he says

VATS pleurodesis
The consultant has mentioned vats
pleurodesis
, any advice? It sounds scary stuff, is it permanent? Is it done under general or local? I wish they would just remove the lung. I was hoping crizitonib would clear up the fluid situation?

Catamenial pneumothorax
I have had 2 rounds of VATS
pleurodesis
and have been put on zoladex for the last 7 months. Has anyone else been on this treatment? Is so for how long? And what happened when you came off it? Thanks in advance!

Pleural rub
I had a
Pleurodesis
using Talc when I was 16, I am now 37 and have been having these symptoms, which I can only describe as Pleural Rub, on and off for about 10 years. I was just wondering if anyone else, who has had a similar operation, are experiencing the same thing? Thanks,

Been unwell
I have had a secondary
pleurodesis
to the bottom section of my right lung, I already had the talc procedure carried out when I was 22. My bronchiectasis is bilateral in both my lungs and I have emphysema throughout both lungs. I am a long way from running again but hope to get back there soon.

New chemo treatment
Hi, Had
Pleurodesis
operation last week which was a success but today I saw my oncologist who said that the cancer has spread to my other lung so I suppose that I'm now at stage IV.

Chemotherapy has stopped working
The
pleurodesis
operation went ahead and seemed to be a success, my breathing improved and my cough stopped. At the beginning of last week I began to feel slightly unwell and was admitted to hospital where it was discovered I had an infection.

Recurrence - expected but now confirmed
We were partly expecting this as Mum had a
pleurodesis
procedure in early July following a collapsed lung caused by fluid build up in her chest. Her recent CA125 has passed 600 however it only got down to 200 after first line chemo.
