Are You Happy with your Type 2 diabetes Medications?...

derivatives also encourage your pancreas to make more insulin. They work faster and remain in your body for less time than sulfonylureas. Weight gain and low blood sugar are possible side effects.

ED supplements (Arginine, Phenylalanine, Macca, Carnitine), lack of sensitivity...
I'm thinking about putting aside
phenylalanine
and see what happens, but this is all experimenting, I feel like a guinea pig. I need a more informed opinion. Maybe the "culprit" is another supplement. Note: I took
Phenylalanine
on empty stomach (as it was specified on the box) before breakfast.

Is artificial sweetener aspartame safe ?
About fifty per cent of aspartame is made up by
phenylalanine
, which could cross the blood-brain barrier and act as a precursor of catecholamine in the brain, as well as leading to phenylketonuria.

because it lacks the enzyme
phenylalanine
hydroxylase. Because of this,
phenylalanine
builds up in the body’s cells and causes nervous system and brain damage.
