cardiac ablation
my cardiologist had recommended an ablation a year ago but I choose to wait. I’ve had very few episodes on Flecinide and Eliquis. Now he’s saying my heart rate is getting too low and we need to revisit having the ablation. I’m looking for feedback from those who have had the procedure.

Adrenal system. Adrenal fatigue
Helpful video. Often people with Hashimoto’s and other autoimmune diseases have problems with cortisol. Dr. Peter Attiya explained simply and clearly. His podcast and new book could be life-saving for some of us. The adrenal system: how it works, cortisol, cortisone, common problems, and more |Dr.

Back in hospital with fast atrial flutter.
I’m in my local hospital with atrial flutter (and some good old AF) at about 150 bpm (following a bypass about a week ago). This seems to switch on when I sit up in bed or get out of bed. Blood pressure is low at 94/59. It’s too dangerous to cardiovert at the moment. They’ve increased the Bisoprolol

Peter Attia - Prostate Cancer and Testosterone
Interesting podcast on mens health by Dr Peter Attia and Dr Mohit Khera. Lots of area's discussed, but I have linked to the section where they discuss prostate cancer & testosterone. Also discussed BAT and a growing trend of giving testosterone after RP in an effort to reduce biochemical reoccurance

New technique modifies T-Cells to cure cancer

New Here — Most Recent Arrhythmia
Hi, all — I initially posted this to the Afib Forum but just found this group, which seems more appropriate. I was experiencing episodes of tachycardia sometimes lasting up to a half hour or so. Being a non-cardiologist, my first thought was Afib and, indeed, that’s what my Apple Watch said. I ended

»Everybody» has seen the news where City of Hope Dr Malkas claims very good results from preclinical tests - all 70 cell lines cancer cells annihilated, patients in the clinical trial 1 doing well. The information is vague, has anybody in here more information or will try to participate in the trial

Bomedemstat trials
Hi everyone, I haven’t posted for a while as I’ve been trying to ignore this condition! Calr positive ET. I’m terrified of going back on Hydrea due to intolerable side effects and my very understanding MPN specialist nurse has been monitoring me. Sadly, my platelets are creeping up , lately to 845

PCNA gene attack -- for solid tumors
Pasted from a publicly avaiilable website A "holy grail" molecule that kills all solid cancer tumors, leaving other cells unaffected, has been developed by scientists. The team at the City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States, made the breakthrough

Trametinib MAPK inhibitor in ENZA-R pCA - very interesting
Many of us are ENZA resistant in the CRPC phase. In preclinical study in turns out that Trametinib + Enza has a profound effect on proliferation, especially with PTEN loss and PI3K mutations, the pCa is then very dependent on the MAPK signalling pathway. There is a clinical trial II open for new patients

Is Afib linked to anxiety ?
Hi HU'ers. This article discusses the similarity between afib and anxiety. The conclusion is interesting. 'Although chronic stress can affect your cardiovascular health, there isn’t enough evidence to suggest that anxiety causes AFib' I don't entirely agree with that but let's agree to disagree
