»Everybody» has seen the news where City of Hope Dr Malkas claims very good results from preclinical tests - all 70 cell lines cancer cells annihilated, patients in the clinical trial 1 doing well. The information is vague, has anybody in here more information or will try to participate in the trial? Hardly any side effects?

Too good to be true?

What is baffling me a bit with the sudden global coverage of this potential new drug is that this info has been available on City of Hope's site for a while. Why is it suddenly being promoted? funding ? or has there been some success in the small phase one trial?

That struck my mind too, either to get interest from Big Pharma or very good results, the trial is 9 months in the works. But City of Hope is well known, they have an ethical committee - if the results are disappointing why inform ww?
