Exercise and peak HR
If a cardiologist has said there is nothing wrong with my heart, bar hypertension and some plaque in arteries is it ok to jog and have a HR of 162? I love jogging but HR goes high when I do it. I can row and cycle and HR goes to 130 max but I don't get the buzz. Cardiologist suggested there may be autonomic

Normal heart rate walking?
Is a heart rate of 125-130 normal when gently walking around a park or round shops aged 49 size 10/12, fit person. My ejection fraction is apparently normal (55) but everything exhausts me. Also when I then do a 30 minute bike ride at gym, going as fast as I can , it's still around the same, 130. Makes

Aortic Disection
I was diagnosed with AD in July 2018. I am too old for surgery which is very risky and could cause stroke, paralysis and even death, so basically I am living on borrowed time. I have been given Amlodipine and Indapamide to keep BP below 120 and take my own BP readings. Apart from echos and dye included

Amlodipine dose
I was wondering what benefits others are experiencing due to Amlodipine? I was started on Amlodipine 5mg in March this year. I was having regular check ups for blood pressure etc due to the possible side effects but I've been fine. No side effects whatsoever, but the medication doesn't seem to be doing

Ramipril and kidney function tests
Just recently upped my dose of ramipril to 10mg and lowered my dose of amlodipine to 5mg due to swollen ankles with amlodipine.Had a blood test and my potassium and creatinine are both low with potassium at 3.1 instead of 3.5 or above.Doctor said repeat test in a month but meanwhile I'm taking all this

Stents and Hiatus Hernia.
I am coming up to the one year point of having my stent fitted, overall I am feeling good about my heart, I am still taking Amlodipine, Clopidogrel, Aspirin, Atorvastatin and lansoprazole. This reduces at the end of this month when I stop the Clopidogrel and Lansoprazole . I have a small Hiatus Hernia

Starting Digoxin
My Afib started after a bout with pneumonia about 4 months ago along with severe dehydration, over worked, stressed, etc. Started me on meds (apixaban, perindopril, bisoprolol and statins). Terrible tiredness and dizziness. They did a cardioversion but it didn't take. Now they're talking about ablation

Yesterday I saw my gp as for months now I've had the most awful cough, breathlessness and chest pain, in fact I sometimes worry that I ignore the chest pain too much and wouldn't acknowledge if it were serious! My 'flutters' with the AF are constant lately too. Anyway, my gp has said that maybe the
