Hot and Cold - and thyroid!
However, the effect on thyroid gland
perfusion
images and the ratio between thyroid hormones secretion were not addressed in any previous study.

Please help in finding a EP
They did a 24 hour ECG and all is fine they also did a
perfusion
scan in 2 parts and all is fine. So what did cause my heart heart to go fast and irregular. And why did they say it's LIKE!!

Other focal lesions could not be entirely rule out on back ground of such parenchymal dsymorphism and preferential

Quite impressed with first EP consultation appointment.
Lo and behold I now have 5 tests scheduled: Myocardial
Perfusion
heart stress scan; Myocardial
Perfusion
heart rest scan.; Echocardigram; 24 hour Holter monitor; Treadmill exercise test and Arrhythmia nurse appointment.

So now what ! !
Went to hospital this morning for a Myocardial
Perfusion
heart stress scan. Did not like the sound of it nor the stress and symptoms I was told to expect my heart to go through, but it was necessary so off I went.

Anyone had a Myocardial Perfusion(heart) Stress Scan and a separate Myocardial Perfusion rest scan.
Been referred for the above tests by my EP. Thought I was to have an angiogram and simple heart scan. The letter has arrived today and the appointments are for Thursday next week and Wednesday the week after. I am unnerved by it as it is not what I was expecting. Literally just back from GP appointment

Response to Sue about severe headaches
Some causes of severe headaches never show up on any tests or scans, even the newer brain
perfusion
MRI's. It's discouraging not to be believed or told that "everyone gets headaches" when you know yours are abnormally BAD.

Perfusion brain MRI's are much better at showing proof of Behcet's neurological involvement than regular MRI's
Now that neurologists have discovered that
perfusion
MRI's (p-MRI's) are more sensitive to detecting Behcet's neurological involvement in the brain, fewer specialists will rely on regular MRI's alone to say a patient doesn't have evidence of neuro-BD.

My Behcet's headaches - "Atypical migraines"
I don't know about the availability of
perfusion
MRI's at the Behcet's Centres of Excellence, but it might be helpful to print out the full color version of the article I gave a link to and discuss it with your neurologist.

strange mixed feelings...
Now that i.ve done cardiac
perfusion
scan i feel relieved but also anxious about the results which will take 3-4 weeks. I know deep down that it's highly likely that they will be negative because the drs have said many times that it's highly unlikely i suffer from heart problem.

My GP says I'm an enigma!
Now have to wait 4 months for a cardiac
perfusion
test (that's on the urgent waiting list) I actually thought that early intervention was critical!!!

One hell of a weekend and I need to get this off my chest.
He's referred me for a Myocardial
Perfusion
Scan, where they inject a radioactive substance and scan the heart. When I got home I was still in shock sitting quietly having a cup of tea, then my phone rang.

Just a quick update
Raynauds test showed good
perfusion
but that I vasospasm in a major way when exposed to cold. Summary: she says I have lyme disease and lupus..... Not so convinced on either one... Today I woke up with a huge bruise on my big toe, it hurts a LOT.

Not asthma
Only things I could find was Wiki article which suggested it would cause hypoxia (my sats are always normal) and ventilation/
perfusion
mismatch (have had VQ scan which was normal), plus something called 'reactive' UAD which is caused by irritants. Sorry for another long post!

Non-classic asthma & unrecognised respiratory condition
The last test is i believe the ventilation/
perfusion
scan. But he spoke to me as though he was sure of the situation. I have loads of questions for my next appt, like will it deteriorate, is it linked to my 'strange, difficult to control' asthma?

Running for health
Over the following weeks I had MRI scans, a heart
perfusion
scan, a few more ECGs and was finally signed off. A big box of tablets, Statins, Beta Blockers, ACE Inhibitors and Calcium Channel blockers came home too.
