Just a quick update

I thought I had done this a couple weeks ago but I can't seem to find my post anywhere...

I had the visit to the rheumy and many other visits with other specialists. Seems all is good so far with a few suprises.

My ANA was positive at 1:80 and speckeled pattern. I also tested positive for Lyme disease which is the second time (first was in 2009 just before being diagnosed with APS). Waiting to hear from the infectious disease specialist to see if I do need to go on meds to treat (had done 3-4 mos of doxycycline in 2009). I have a feeling this is a false positive caused by APS antibodies but not quite sure.

Other surprise is 2 bulging disks in my neck. Raynauds test showed good perfusion but that I vasospasm in a major way when exposed to cold.

Summary: she says I have lyme disease and lupus..... Not so convinced on either one...

Today I woke up with a huge bruise on my big toe, it hurts a LOT. Not sure what caused it.... either a clot or a broken vessel. This is a fairly normal occurance for me. Kind of scares me as I always worry about one in my head or somewhere more vital than my toe, hands or fingers doing the same thing!!

I am just entering a week vacation at work. I managed to rearrange my schedule to have all this time off without missing any days somehow! Huge plans as the man I am dating (from London) is coming to see me! I met him because of my APS so there is some good that can come from this sludgeblood!

Nothing too stressful and not upset about any of it... I think it goes with the territory and the disks generally don't bother me. Really I feel blessed to have the health I have and the life I am able to live despite this sludgeblood.

Ohhh Jessielou we plan to get things sorted more than a few times, lolol!! x
