Great progress on Pegasys!
I’ve not had any side effects to the
Pegasys
. I feel great on the
Pegasys
, and all my ET related symptoms are gone, including the one that was most persistent - burning feet.

Jakafi Dosing
I just had to change from
Pegasys
due to too many side effects, and was put on Jakafi. My question is does 15 mg. twice a day for a woman that is 110 lbs. seem like a lot? From what I read it seems so to me.

Rash Impacted by Pegasys?
Hi, I am 71, have had PV (exon 12) for about 4 years, been on
pegasys
for 3 years. Presently apparently in CHR, with maintenance dose of
pegasys
45 mcg every other week. Generally it has been going well.

Starting Pegasys
hi all, I’m about to start the next stage of my treatment journey, 45mg
Pegasys
fortnightly. I’ve picked up the meds and just waiting for my remaining blood tests to come back before I start.

Pegasys skin?
Has anyone else had their skin turn into rough, dry, chicken skin on large parts of their bodies after taking
Pegasys
? Mine started out with itchiness, and now the skin itself is weird. I've used tons of lotion, including Sarna. I have also taken Beta Alanine orally. Problem is growing worse.

Vinegar - Pegasys interference?
I've been trying to live healthier and lose weight, so I started looking into minimizing glucose spikes. I came across a suggestion to take one tablespoon of vinegar before the starchiest meal of the day. However, I read that citric acid prevents platelets from sticking together, which seems to be exactly

Shortage of Pegasys Interferon
We are aware that some countries may be experiencing a shortage in the supply of
Pegasys
Interferon and would like to reassure you various UK Health Bodies and MPN experts have this under review and that it is not an immediate problem in the UK.

Pegasys Journey
I started
Pegasys
45mcg 14wks ago and my platelet count was stabilised at 10wks (age 66yrs). I was given the option of Hydroxy or
Pegasys
, for me
Pegasys
was the right decision. The only change I could report yesterday at my FU was increased muscle pain.

Has anyone had a problem getting prescribed
Pegasys
on nhs as a first line treatment at 45? Really keen on this as a starting treatment due to age.

Interferon: Short of Breath?
I have been on interferon (
Pegasys
) for Jak2 ET since March of 2021. In 2021 I also noted that I was breathing heavily with minor exertion (walking). As I was a smoker I assumed I had done this to myself.

Interferon types, Old and New, what are the options?
More recently Besremi became available, intended to be an improvement on
Pegasys
. The pegylation is designed differently and they used a slightly different IFN
: Type 1, IFN α -2b + Peg.
Note the "2b" in Bes vs 2a in
Pegasys
.

Switching from Pegasys to Besremi
Also how long a gap between stopping
Pegasys
and starting Besremi? I assume that Besremi doesn’t require any bedding in period before it becomes effective ? ie it’s a seamless transition in terms of efficacy? Thanks Paul

Pegasys causing Depression
Started
Pegasys
approx 6-7mths ago. My last injection was two days ago. I will of course be contacting my MPN Drs to discuss further. I really don’t want to stop it unless absolutely necessary. Just wondering whether any others have had to stop it due to low mood etc.

Positive autoimmune trace in blood results
On
pegasys
inteferon 90mcg every two weeks. Keep fit and well with some niggles I thought normal for a post menopausal woman. But my lovely consultant has just sent me a letter re last blood results that apparently picked up a positive autoimmune trace which she wants a rheumatology opinion on.
