Cataract surgery?
Has anyone had any cataract surgery while taking
Pegasys
? Is there a problem with eye surgery while taking Interferon? I'm about to be changed over to
Pegasys
from Hydrea, and also about to have cataract surgery. Some of the things I've read seem to indicate that may be a problem.

I changed to
Pegasys
interferon 5 weeks ago and I seem to be coping with it quite well. I’ve had headaches daily since diagnosed in December 2023, these subsided and for the last 2 weeks I was headache free. However the last few days they have returned.

beta alanine dose/timings
My husband (Jak 2 pos, pv) has been tolerating
Pegasys
45 mcg really well. Feels better than he had in ages. However after three weeks, he has become quite itchy (manageable during day) but it is waking him at night.

Hyperthyroidism and Pegasys
Hi everyone, I have been on
Pegasys
for my ET for about 5 months and have now found out I have very low TSG levels and too high t4, i.e. hyperthyroidism. Has anyone else experienced thyroid problems and did they have to come off IFN? Thanks!

A month into Pegasys, Australia …
I really struggled with Hydrea and
Pegasys
was like a walk in the park. She suspected my side effects would reduce more the longer I was on
Pegasys
but to keep in touch and to call at any time if I needed advice.

Possible side effect?
I started
Pegasys
just about 2.5 months ago. Dose 45 mcg. per week. No real side effects. Then just increased to 60 mcg. per week. Injected on Friday, and Saturday felt sore throat, difficulty swallowing, swollen feet, and labored breathing. Also super gassy and diarrhea.

Tilt Table Test
I am pretty certain that I did not escape Sjogrens with my year on
Pegasys
. I also consistently have heart palpitations, now. I have had cardio tests and have confirmed that I have no additional problems. Palpitations happen daily, sitting, reclining and standing.

Sarcoidosis Peg side effect?
I am 4 months into
Pegasys
, and after trying to increase my dosage from 45 mcg to 60 mcg per week, I had problems with breathing, coughing, and itching being the most severe. Dr. had me skip a week, and itching subsided somewhat. Then I went back on at 25 mcg weekly.

PV fatigue
I have just started
Pegasys
interferon after failed treatments of phlebotomies and Hydroxyurea. My fatigue since diagnosis and treatments starting 2021 is all consuming. I don’t know how to deal or cope with the tiredness, lack of energy, and overall feeling unwell.

I FINALLY got approved for
Pegasys
, and am to pick it up at the pharmacy by Wednesday. My question is does the first injection happen in the Drs. office, or at home?? Were you given physical instructions for how to give the injection?

Hrt and pegasys. Is it a good idea?
Just wondered what the advice is. My pv is well controlled but hot flushes getting a bit much. I take 90 mcg every fortnight.

When on a weekly dose of Pegasys is it ok to occasionally alter the day you inject?
Hi everyone, I’m about to try
Pegasys
in a few weeks time on a weekly dose of 45. If I get any unpleasant side effects I wondered if occasionally it’s ok to put back the usual day of injecting by 24 hours if I had something special on the day of the injection.
