How Can I Improve Hypo Symptoms without Causing Arrhythmia and Results of Thyroid and Adrenal Tests
(I have Hashimoto's and had a
partial
thyroidectomy
in the 1990s due to Graves). The issue is that every time I try to increase my NDT dose, even by as little as an eighth of a grain, I get more frequent episodes of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF).

Lugois iodine ( graves)
Hi everyone 🌹 Just doing a bit of research on graves thyrotoxicosis and the use of lugois iodine given before thyroidectomy, I had this solution 10mg 3 times a day via syringe with a small amount of water for around 6wks before surgery, my surgeon requested I attend the hospital twice a week to monitor

Proportion of serum thyroid hormone concentrations within the reference ranges in athyreotic patients on levothyroxine monotherapy
A Japanese paper which suggests measuring FT3 might be more useful than FT4. I've only read the abstract so far - but will read the full paper later. [i]Thyroid Res. 2022 May 10;15(1):9. doi: 10.1186/s13044-022-00127-3.

A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING KAPLAN-MEIER CURVES

Light brown pigmentation under jawline only, hypothyroidism issue or something else?
I have had this light brown pigmentation under just my jawline that I developed after having a thyroidectomy in 2016. I had a hysterectomy 17 years earlier and did not have this light brown pigmentation could this be from the thyroidectomy? Any ideas on how to get rid of it? I tried those skin lightening

Ablation Success Rate
I have had AFib for as long as I can remember, but it has become gradually worse over the last 4 years. I have not had any surgery, and I haven't had a cardioversion. I am on rate control meds only. I will be seeing an EP in September, but my current cardiologist believes that I have been in AFib too

CRTD and pacing
hi everyone, I had a CRTD pacemaker with defib inserted about 18 days ago as I had a cardiac arrest in hospital after being given a loading dose of digoxin whilst on Dronederone, following a cardioversion that initially worked but then put me into afib with high heart rate. I’ve heart failure now with

Checking my blood results!!
Hi there I'm new to this site. I had Graves Disease in 2018 and had a thyroidectomy in 2019. I have since been on levothyroxine 100micrograms. My last Blood test in January 2022 showed that I needed to increase the levothyroxine so the doctor increased my dose to 125micrograms. I have now had another

Best Sleeping Position for AFib
Subject may have been discussed but could not find recent posts. Have been having problems sleeping and noticed heart rate is higher than it should be (85). Search results. Right lateral position is proven to be most effective. Left lateral seems to trigger AFib. Problem is if you are like

Anticoagulants and PPIs
Hi everyone, I have just had an annual medication review over the phone with a pharmacist. I am taking Apixaban 5mg twice daily together with low dose Flecainide (50mg x 2 daily) and Bisoprolol (2.5mg daily). The latter to offset any possible side effects from Flecainide!! I have been in sinus rhythm

Post cardioversion
It's been 3 days since my cardioversion and I was hoping to be feeling far better than I do, I'm getting palpitations and still very tired, fatigued and feeling a bit shaky, my energy levels are so low. My Kardia Mobile ECG is showing a regular extra beat .... my wife says I'm expecting too much too

Is anyone taking Erleada?
Hello, I received my first Eligard injection on June 6th. PSA dropped from 9 to 0.7 in 3 months. For my second ADT treatment my doctor wants to switch to Trelstar. From what I read it sounds like Eligard and Trelstar are very similar, same side effects. Doctor also wants to add Erleada. After checking

Angry following angiogram letter from a consultant.
I received the following letter from a consultant-addressed to my GP- following my aborted angiogram of last week. It’s fair to say that since I read it this morning I have had steam coming out of my ears, not to mention chest pains. I would value any feedback and advice how to proceed: “Mr [..] has

Coping with working full time with PMR
I've read many helpful suggestions on this site on how to manage a heavy workload and PMR. I have a demanding job with a lot of responsibility. I have sought to balance my symptoms (heavy, heavy harness, brain fog, fatigue and reduced confidence) with work for the past few months, with varying degrees
