Prophylactics
Hi I have been on Acalabrutinib for two weeks now along with prophylactics, one being Co trimoxazole , which I seemed to react to. I have now been offered Pentamidine, which I have read up on and don’t like the sound of plus it does not sound as if it protects as well. Is anyone else on these drugs

Digoxin vs Pace & Ablate?
As some already know I’ve had a hard recovery since ablation on 23/11/22. HR was on the rise again slowly from then and the severe respiratory episode went on & on. Just coming to the end of what I think is maybe the 5th antibiotic course! I’ve now been on digoxin 125mcg since 28/2/22 and following

Bisoprolol to Sotalol
Hi everyone. I’ve been on 10 mgs of Bisoprolol for a year, having had the dose gradually increased since my diagnosis in 2017. This drug has served me well in lowering my heart rate when it has gone into Tachycardia territory. My cardiologist has said that if my Afib bothers me me more, then as I am

Vitamin D and Dementia
Vitamin D is a topic that gets a regular airing on this forum. In the context of CLL, here is a good place to review past posts https://healthunlocked.com/cllsupport/posts/149126536/recent-research-report?responses=149129259 (reply by Lankisterguy). Personally, the idea of dying with CLL just doesn't

Shockwave Therapy By Chiropractor
I just went to a Chiropractor for treatment of agonizing pain in my upper back. He wants to treat me with shockwave therapy but I have concerns of this affecting my atrial fibrillation. I am presently only taking an anticoagulant, and no other meds for my AF. Has anyone had this type of treatment

New Thyroid Results - Conversion Issue?
Hi, After an emotional Thyroid rollercoaster these past couple years (post partial thyroidectomy 12/2/21 in combination with an Endo who doesn't believe in compounded medication), I finally seem to be settling into a medication and dose that works okay. I'd have to say that I'm still a bit tired and

Taste Issues and finger neuropathy on Xtandi( enzalutamide) ?
In order to participate in a clinical trial (FOR46 at UCSF) I had to switch from Nubeqa (darolutamide) to enzalutamide. Previously on abiraterone. Did really well on both medications. Now 4 months on enzalutamide and my 5th research infusion, I'm experiencing some side effects. Trying to determine

My 40 day post-ablation update
I've replied to a few posts here but think this might be my first post. 40 days ago I a cryoballoon ablation for paroxysmal AFib. Afterwards the EP told me I had 5 pulmonary veins and he estimated 80% chance of remission with first procedure. Since then: - I've only had AFib for 1 hour about 10 days
