Platitude's, Please!
I need to purge some platitudes. Since being diagnosed with Parkinson's the things people say sometimes just blows my mind! *But you look too good to be sick! I guess I better ugly up! * The good Lord gives you no more than you can carry! No more, no more! * Did you see a doctor? Huh! * There's

Fibormyalgia or Parkinson's?
I was dx with Fibormyalgia 8 years before I was dx with Parkinson's, my neurologist has said that was more than likely the first systems of the Parkinson's. Have any of you had this missdx.? The pain I felt all over my body was so intense, and the depression that I had I had to be put on disabablity

Parkinson's, Chapter One vs. 1 through 8
1.In the Beginning, Parkinsons created the tremor. 2.And the tremor was without form, and void. And darkness ruled upon the face of the diagnosis. 3.And Parkinsons said: "let there be pain, sickness, and confusion", and there was. 4.The afflicted suffered terribly, and there were many shattered dreams

Nausea and Vomiting
Prior to my Parkinson's diagnosis I had severe episodes of nausea and vomiting. My Neuro said it was the affect of the PD on the inner ear. Those episodes have started again. Does anyone else have these symptoms, if so, have you found anything to help? I had not had them since starting on Azilect

A big thank you to all those who took part in our Non-Motor Symptoms Survey
The non-motor symptoms survey discovered that sleep disruption is almost universal for those living with Parkinson’s. For instance 80% of people living with Parkinson’s (PWPs) experience disturbed sleep attributable to their Parkinson's and nearly three quarters (72%) considered this to be moderate to

Am relieved that DaT confirmed PD so I wrote a little blog
I am Blessed…. I have Parkinson’s Disease I thought I did. but know one was sure. I have other confusing issues so it was hard to say. I just wanted an answer - I felt kind of crazy. So was relieved to find out I was not crazy. I am now taking Azilect and my tremor is better, also I haven't fallen

Caffeine may improve Parkinsons symptoms
A recent study in which subjects had 200mg 2x daily of caffeine for 3 weeks ( at morning and lunch so as not to effect sleep) showed that it had motor benefits and helped with "freezing" and rigidity in Parkinsons patients. In an article accompanying these findings it was noted that a study was conducted

Do give homeopathy a go - you have a lot to gain and nothing to lose
My partner has
parkinsonism
associated with Lewy Body dementia - in other words he has parkinsonian symptoms - tremor in one hand, rigidity, lack of expression, salivary problems etc. We have been using homeopathy for over a year and gradually the symptoms are disappearing.

Has anyone else with Parkinson's found relief by using cannabis? I have researched this completely and found other people with this disease and other illnesses are finding success. I have Parkinson's and found some relief from my muscle cramps by using it and I get better sleep too! I feel more relaxed
