How is angina diagnosed ?
I get chest pain every day when I’m walking up to the school , I’m waiting to see my respiratory consultant regarding test results from a few different breathing tests and still waiting to have an exercise stress test because I have a
pacemaker
and have ongoing chest pain and breathlessness on exertion

pacemaker registration card nhs
it seems the bhf and nhs state that a patient should be given a
pacemaker
registration card upon leaving an nhs hospital. But this did not happen. I asked for it before I left and was told one will be sent in the post. Has anyone in the UK had trouble getting this card? Thanks in advance

Sick of feeling ill
Since 2021 when first starting beta blockers after having a
pacemaker
fitted I've had nothing but trouble. The GP's don't have an answer for me with various differing ' diagnosis '.

Edoxaban versus Rivaroxaban
I am slightly reluctant with any changes to my medication as I suffered very badly from all the different AF medications resulting in a very successful
pacemaker
and AV node ablation. I now only take Rivaroxaban for my AF .

Which condition should I be most worried about
The SVT for which I take a beta blocker, the slow heart rate which hopefully the
pacemaker
will deal with or the AS which appears to be seen as not serious . Thanks for your time.

thank you
He is finally home after 3 weeks, he ended up having a
pacemaker
also due to low heart rate after surgery. He’s had little falls, he had dizzy spells before but got bad after surgery, with small blackouts. One point thinking he had a stroke.

Continuation of stroke risk after ablation.
When I last saw my EP who did an angiogram and fitted a
pacemaker
in September he told me I was in AF when he was working on me briefly despite the fact that I have pulsatile tinnitus and can clearly hear a steady rhythm around 80 bpm.

Pericarditis following pacemaker implant
Thank you to all who gave positive responses to concerns about needing a pm. The op took place on 7th September a day earlier than expected, under local, completely painless and home the same day. The following day saw us in A&E with severe chest pain & shortness of breath, was told to sit on a chair

Tricuspid Regurgitation
Long story but went in to have a
pacemaker
and AV ablation. At that time I was told my tricuspid valve was moderately leaking and they would keep an eye on it.

Atrial Flutter and AFib
Hello, Briefly I've had multiple Aortic/Mitral valve surgeries, with the second in 2013 I acquired Complete Heart Block, Permanent AF, Shunt, and my
Pacemaker
. I'm probably lucky that I've been reasonably stable over the years, other than every now and again having the PM settings altered.

Colonoscopy and endoscopy.
I was extra worried because a few ago I had a CRT-P fitted, which is a
pacemaker
with three leads instead of the normal 2. But they knew all about it and everything went well. I must say the staff were all wonderful.

Grateful for any Feedback on PVI Ablation Please
There is also the possibility of needing a
pacemaker
in normal sinus rhythm as my resting heart can drop down to 40 at times.

Pacemaker replacements?
Hi Received knowledge is that
pacemaker
batteries last 7-10 years. With perpetual talk of waiting times I am wondering whether replacements are happening or do I have to start worrying as I approach my 7th anniversary? Can anyone tell of their experiences???
